I've discovered several forgotten graves and small family cemeteries over the years, while involved in my work or hunting, and wanted to list them on Find A Grave. Many of the people buried in these graves are some of the earliest settlers in north Louisiana and deserve our respect and admiration. I'll do my best to see that they are not forgotten.|

I think it's possible that these were twins born at the same time. I have no further information except references to them as being the children of Andrew Mack Postell and Callie Postell. One gravesite I've been unable to find anything about is that of a James Postell who died in 1903 Memorial # 97269234. All of the other descendents at Cypress Creek are those of James Washington Postell, born in 1832 in Cherokee County North Carolina. He is Andrew Mack's Father and married a Cherokee woman. James and his brother Jacob were in the Confederate Army in Thomas Legion of Indians and Highland Rangers. Thomas was the only White man to become Chief of the Cherokees. James was my Great Great Grandfather. I don't have any idea who the James in Cypress Creek comes from. I wonder if the church has records to reflect who and where he came from?
Thanks you for your photographs. Have a good day,
