Retired law enforcement and military (Marines and Air Force Reserves) currently in a nursing career.|
I collect WWI, WWII and Vietnam era uniforms, medals, etc as my main hobby but also dabble in autographs and of course work on the family tree from time to time. Most of the memorials I have created are of family or very good friends. But, I also build memorials or write bio's for veterans who do not have a memorial or bio already built - but should have. I live in Tulsa, OK.

Hey, if I had a dollar for every brain bubble of mine, I could buy the website. Ha!

I am so sorry. I have no information on your Anthony Maday. Good luck with your search!
|Kathy Curle Ward||Grady Hogue in Grove Hill Memorial Park|
There are 2 Grady Hogues in Texas both are my 3rd cousin 2x removed according to Ancestry. Grady In Grove Hill served in the Army from May 1943 thru Dec 1945. I do not believe this is the correct Grady. His 1st cousin Grady C Hogue is more likely to be the one you are looking for. Grady C was in the USMC and was recorded as being wounded in the war. His parents were Claud and Beatrice Hogue. He served in the TX legislature and was also the 1st president of a College in Bee County, TX. I have searched and cannot find where he is buried at this time so you can post the photo. If I find I will let you know. Do you think this is the Grady you are looking for? I have been researching my family tree for a couple of years now and it is very interesting what you find out about your ancestors. If you would share the photo I would like to post it to my Ancestry tree. Did you serve with Grady? Do you have any stories you would like to share? Thanks, Kathy
|Eileen||RE: 2nd Lt Hyman Sherman|
Having several of my own family "lost" in wars on foreign soil I can understand your bio on Hyman's memorial. It is so strange that I can't find anything at all on his birth or his life for that matter, including in the Sherman Directories, which I own. Nothing solid on Ancestry.com, which I have a subscription to. This is a real mystery indeed. I will let you know if in my travels in the Sherman Directories I find something that will lead to his family.
Thanks for all you do, it makes a difference !!
Eileen (Didn't like the name growing up, but love it now)

|Tim Cook||Manila American Cemetery and Memorial|
I see you have several photo requests at Manila American Cemetery. The Tablets of the Missing are divided into four parts: Army & Army Air Forces, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.
Please accept my plot info updates for memorials you manage. This will greatly increase the chances of the photo request being fulfilled. I have somewhere around 10-12,000 names already photographed (there are 36,000 names on the walls there). So there is a 1/3rd chance I can fulfill your requests. But if not, knowing the branch of service will aid another photo volunteer.
