Forty-something, happily married to a great guy, and living "7 miles from nowhere" in Bates County, MO, a mile from the Kansas line. Two sons, the youngest just graduated high school this May. Genealogy and history are a couple of my many and varied interests. I am a semi-trailer mechanic (yep, a gal that doesn't mind getting greasy), and I also volunteer my time as a keyer/arbitrator (doing transcriptions) for the Ancestry World Archives Project.
I am happy to transfer memorials I've made to family, all you need to do is ask. If there are errors on memorials I manage, please let me know.
My first "large" project will be to completely list the Woodfin Cemetery in Walnut Township, Bates Co., MO. Between work and "real life," though, it's slow going.
I have an Ancestry subscription, and am trying to get all information available on there attached to each memorial I manage, as time allows. | |

Hi Mary...it has been a while since I have talked with you. I just wanted to say thank you for Ruth's memorial. She is Orlando Manlove's daughter. The M on her headstone is for Manlove. Ruther Manlove Warren. It is really cool to finally be able to link everyone together. Are you doing the cemetery thing again? You had started a new job the last time that I talked with you & said you weren't doing much of it, as you had to go back to work.

I read your Bio on this site and want to say I look forward seeing the results of your project. (transcription of Woodfin Cemetery in Walnut Township)I have been looking for the grave of my great grandfather for many years (have given up most hope of finding a marked grave) He lived in the Foster area until around 1899. He died in 1901.
Just wanted to say that volunteers like you are what makes genealogy so great!
