I am Mary C Morris' great granddaughter on Rastus' side. My dad was William and think you talked to Ollie at one time. Would like to connect with you if possible.

I am researching Margaret Albinor Sloane married to William Hathorn. Their daughter, Marguerite Hathorn Hebert Vannoy married Joel Clay Vannoy (my GGGF) of St. Landry Parish. Would appreciate any further information you could send me such as marriage dates, places, burial, any other history and especially photos. Thanks, Alana

RE: Thomas O'Barr
I don't understand the message you sent (below). Did you forget to include something?

Thomas O'Barr
Hi.......I am Thomas' great great grandson through his daughter Bertie. I came across this on Ancestry.com. Do you think you could add this to Thomas' memorial on Findagrave?

Many thanks!

Whit Sloane

RE: Bertie O'Barr
Thanks for adding the link.

I probably don't know much about Bertie that your cousin doesn't already know. Her name was Roberta and she was E. M. Bramlett's second wife. She was born in Floyd County, Georgia and moved to Alabama. Several of her siblings moved to Alabama, also. Her parents did not move to Alabama, they died in Floyd County. I believe Bertie & husband moved from Alabama to Missouri and later to Arkansas.

I have some info on the family in Georgia, some of it can be seen by following the links on Find A Grave. If your cousin wants to email me with some specific questions, I will try to answer them if I can. - Bobbie (bobbie.obarr.martin@hotmail.com)

RE: Hi
Whit, My great grandmother was Lillie Frances Andrus Laughlin, wife of Solomon Laughlin and dtr of Margarete Sloane & Jasper Andrus.

My great grandfather's (Solomon Laughlin) sister (Margaret Laughlin) married Robert B Sloane, who is Margarete Sloane Andrus's brother.

Bottom line...I descend from Andrus, Laughlin & Sloane on my Mom's side. My Mom is a Laughlin.

Confused? So am I.

Would be happy to share anything I have.
