Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been very envolved in searching down my ancestors for 30 years. Finding a new cemetery is very exciting and when I find a new little one I over indulge and tend to photograph the entire site. My pictures and Internments are all individuals that have somehow found their way into my ever growing family tree.
Currently I live in Eastern Iowa along the Mississippi River which is a wonderful starting place for journeys in search of my early ancestors.

I hope you enjoy my pictures and the information I have tried to share

RE: Armina Roach-Goosey
Hello Mark,

Let me get back with you....I think I still have your email address. There is a gentleman who I was "introduced" to on the internet and he is the one who was saying that while walking his property one day, with a neighbor of his (I believe), that he came upon this small graveyard. He was kind enough to take some photos and send them to me. I understood him to say that there were several grave sites, but only one with markings and that was Armine Goosey.
I will go back to my addresses and put you in contact with the gentleman I spoke with. He is much more knowledgeable of the area than I am and hopefully, can help you.

Osten Lundesdatter (Lunsetter)
Thank you so much for taking the time to search out and photograph this headstone for me! Could you actually read the spelling on the stone? My thought is that is actually Osten Lunsetter, or Lundsateren but I was hoping that the stone would help to clarify. I'm finding it hard to see the details. Again, many thanks!

Photo request

Just want to thank you for photographing the marker for Mary (Weld) White in the British Hollow Cemetery. That request has languished in the request file for years, and it was very helpful to establish that she was indeed buried there. I live in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area and would be happy to return the favor one of these days. Thanks again!

Kind regards,

Marc Rafferty

Hi Mark,

I came across a Death Certificate for Patricia and posted what was on it here. The Cemetery, dates etc are what was listed on the Death Certificate.

Hope this helps,

RE: This headstone appears to be the same as #94214849 Isaac Alcorn.
I almost did the same, but did some name searches and found the cemetery as listed in Find A Grave.

Some stones get an odd moss on them that grows almost black, and sometimes thick. It makes reading
them very difficult, as I try not to do too much cleaning of them.

This headstone appears to be the same as #94214849 Isaac Alcorn.
I'll change the name to read Alcorn. the stone is now very hard to read.

I'll then request Find A Grave to merge the 13 memorials in the non-existant SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST cemetery into ADVENT cemetery.

Memorials placed in the wrong cemetery do not count in Find A Grave's standards, but they will use photos, BIO data, etc. in merging.
