I live in Maine, but all of my family was born in PA. My father's family of German origin settled the Conowago area of PA near Hanover, arriving in the early 1700s. My mother's family, mostly German with some Irish too, arrived a little later in the Philadelphia area.

I really enjoy connecting with distant family and others who are interested because of geographical location. I'm hoping to share and learn about all the information I can.

I love genealogy, primary source material and grave yards, in particular.

When I retire in five years, I want to spend my time wandering around Maine, checking out the cemeteries.

RE: Dietz Photo Request
I only ask because census info seems to point to two Harry E Dietzes of similar age, both married to an Annie. I've found and photographed the stones for the Dietzes I previously asked you about, hers does include Althoff in the inscription.

The plot also contains Harry E's parents, Margaret Y and Alexander, as well as likely children of Harry and Annie, Edward A and Nina Eva.

If this fits with the family history as you know it let me know, I'll go ahead and upload the photos for your requests.

Dietz Photo Request
Is it possible that Ann Elizabeth Althoff Dietz, Nov. 24, 1865 - May 5, 1944 could actually be
Annie Althoff Dietz, 1867 - 1923,

and her husband, Harry Ellsworth Dietz,
Dec., 1875 - Apr. 24, 1908 could actually be
Harry Edward Dietz, 1874 - 1907 ?

RE: Getchell
The thing that I am interested in is her last name. Her husbands middle name and he went by this was Freeman. I'm not sure if this is her last name. Would be weird if it was. Thanks for the photo's and correction. Kim
