I began searching my family tree over 45 years ago. However, I did not go very far. Only a few generations of names and possible burial sites. Now the relatives that had those answers have long since passed on. |
I rekindled the desire in 2010 when I met the DT Questers at a meeting with Ingham Township to have them catalog the Howard Cemetery. My parents, both sets of grandparents and one set of great grandparents and a set of great-great-great grandparents are buried there. Find a Grave has been very helpful in my searches.
My desire now is to work with information on my decedents in the West, Aseltine,Every and Meredith families. I want to update their memorials. Getting more complete dates and events in their lives into the memorials. Hopefully, this will make other relatives search for their roots a little easier to follow.
My second goal is to get as much information about the Howard Cemetery as possible and post on the memorials. I have found quite a few more burials in this cemetery from my research. No records are available. My findings have been through old obituaries and burial permits.
I have been searching old area newspapers and books. I've found more information about my relatives and the people related to them. This has given me more leads to follow. While looking up these articles, I have found many others of people in the area. I have been adding them to their memorials. I hope this will help others find more information about their searches.

Not to worry. She was hard to research as she was a busy women.
I did go out to the cemetery and found what I think is what is left of her marker. Posted a photo on her memorial page. All that is visible is how old she was when she died, which matches your information.
Sorry there was not more.
Thanks and We have contacted her.

Hi! Would you please remove the death certificate and newspaper clipping from this memorial? The Jacob Mill buried in Riverside died Aug 7th 1930. He was born in the Netherlands in 1866.
Your Jacob Mill died in Dec 1930 and his death certificate says he's buried in Saint John's Cemetery in Jackson Michigan.

Sorry about that! I must have not been paying good enough attention. I'm not family to the Norris' bit it's my friends husband's family. I've been trying to research her family because I believe our Shattuck lines connect way back just haven't found the connection yet. I came across a lot of her Shattuck's & Norris' in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens so I took pictures of all that I came across on my walk.

Would you mind removing the death certificate on #60670305? There are errors on the death certificate and I prefer not to have it on the memorial.
I appreciate the work you do for all of our memorials. Thank you!

Thank you for your reply. Canadian records are difficult to come by prior to 1869. I am trying to locate a descendant of Joseph C. Baldwin that might have information on his mother.
|Robin Strickland||Joseph C. Baldwin Mother|
I am searching for information on Catharine Clapp, mother of Joseph C. Baldwin. I have traced her ancestors and descendants but some questions remain about her marriage to Jesse Baldwin and her death near Hamilton, Ont. ~1832.

I also have her posted in the Michigan Tombstone Project as being in Bunker Hill.

Got your message. It is possible I put her in the wrong cemetery but honestly, I don't know. If you are positive she is in another cemetery I can delete her. Please let me know.
