Bio Photo I discovered the "Find-a-Grave" website in 2010 & it has been a great resource.

I am willing to transfer Find-A-Grave pages to direct descendants.

RE: Will/Wills genealogy
Hi again. I use Will/Wills interchangeably. I just don't see that it is very consistent, but I suppose that I should pay more attention. So anyway, I'm still just exploring this myself, but made a couple discoveries lately. I have been trying to figure out where John Will 1764-1851 came from. He had a first wife and had some kids by her (which most people assign to 2nd wife Providence). He then married Providence Buckingham in 1814 and lived in Falls Township, Muskingum County, Ohio. The first sign I have of John there is an 1811 property transfer. It says he was from Muskingum County. His two younger children lived long enough to give the birthplace of their father on the census. One says Ohio and the other Germany. The problem is that there are too many out there. there were a couple in the Revolutionary War. There were a few Hessian soldiers in tht war, and there was a second John Will in Ohio I think by Cincinnati. Very frustrating. Anyway, back to your questions. Everyone has Providence buried in Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. As for John, he is listed in FindAGrave in two places. one is in Greenwood Cemetery in zanesville, Muskingum County, but the info on that page is a little confused. The Waterloo=Gray Scott note actually is on John's son John's tombstone, also in Greenwood. But most of the rest seems right. The second place is in a grave with Rose Ann Wills and John White in Buckeye cemetery in Morton, Tazewell County, Illinois. Check out the tombstone. He is listed as Grandfather Will. He is wrongly-I think= listed in FindAGrave as John Will White. But like I said, I haven't confirmed these really yet... but very interesting! Can you confirm any of this? or have any source information? Or Photos?

John Wills 17641851
Hi Sandy, I just found the headstone for "Grandfather Wills" on the John White and Roseanne Wills White headstone. Since you may be a descendant I was wondering if you have any information on this. I have lots of questions. Let me know if you know anything about this. thanks.

I hope you can answer through my profile.

Shanek photo
The photo for Arthur & Irene Shanek's stone is at such an odd angle due to a cedar tree growing next to the stone and obscuring Irene's side. I wasn't able to move the branch out of the way to get a straight shot, so this was the best I could do.

Donna Kemp
Martecia "Mattie" Calhoun
If Mattie was three when her mother died, then was she born in 1872 instead of 1878 as the memorial stone states?
