I take a lot of photos of the headstones at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Many are dim and hard to read the inscription. If anyone asks me, I can retake any photo under different lighting conditions and try to make it easier to read.
A few years ago, I transcribed a lot of the Internments at Restlawn Memorial Park:
I recorded over 25,000 burials.
The office claimed years ago that there were over
33,000 Internments there.
When I first started the project, I was allowed full access to the office on Saturday mornings. The manager let me use the Sexton records, plat maps, etc.
When the cemetery was sold, the new manager informed me that I was no longer welcome in the office. I had to do the rest by reading each tombstone.
Since I have 23 relatives Interred at Restlawn, I feel that I should have been allowed to finish the project.
Restlawn will NOT give out a grave location unless the requestor is a direct relative.
For that reason, I will limit my volunteer duties to Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
At Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, a grave location will be appreciated, but not necessary.

Yes I saw the transposed numbers also after I submitted the photo requests and the one had been claimed already. Hopefully he will see they are together. After the photo's come back, I send in an edit to fix the transposed numbers...lookyloo

I would love to check the Plot numbers on Melitta and William D Glassock's Memorial, but I'm in California....What do you see wrong with them? The Memorials were created by US Veteran's Affairs, wouldn't they know the gravesite locations?
Thanks for any help you can give me.....lookyloo

Well my days at Fort Bliss National Cemetery have came to a close. I took right at 10,000 photos. I finished all of M, M1, O, J, and all but 242 photos of L. I did not finish the last 42 stones in each of the back 6 Rows in the North West corner of the section. I should have them posted in the next 90 days.
Thank you so much for getting this information to me. I have never been able to visit my sister's grave and wondered if she had a headstone. This is so appreciated.
