Genealogy has become my newest addiction!|
THANK YOU to those of you that I've encountered on findagrave that have been so friendly, helpful, kind, and appreciative. You make all the "bad" seem less significant.
Taphophilia = an abnormal love for graves and cemeteries. The love of walking cemeteries and finding lost relatives and the gravesites of ancestors.
✔ PLEASE NOTE!!!
Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown or a person from an incorrect cemetery into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my "duplicate". It is not fair that I spend my time, my gas, my $, hunt down owners of the properties, bee stings, ticks, poison ivy, and even risk to my life (bull in the pasture, scary men, and electrified fence-no snakes so far) to photo gravestones only later to find that an armchair F-A-Ger has placed a name in either an incorrect cemetery or has a burial unknown, finds I have actually found-the-grave, moves theirs to the correct cemetery and then expects me to delete my entry. I WILL TRANSFER my submissions after the incorrect entry is deleted. This way we both get credit and the person who makes the incorrect entry still has a memorial they maintain. I feel this is more than fair.
THIS IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH FINDAGRAVE RULES!!! I refer you to Find A Grave rules: "In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location". (quoted from another find-a-graver)
I would prefer that birth/death/marriage certificates not be posted to the memorials I have created. I prefer the space be made available for photos of the person since most of these documents are easily found online and can be transcribed to the bio area of the memorial.
These records, especially Death records, can contain private and sensitive information that family members may not want shared.
The addition is even less helpful if an edit request is not sent to have the pertinent information added to the memorial. Thanks for your cooperation!!
Please do not put photos of newspaper obits on the memorials. These take up limited spaces in the photo allotment. If you have an obit then please type it up and submit it through the edit option and I would be happy to add it to the bio section as long as the name of the newspaper and date of publication are included.
If you've never taken a few moments to spend time in the cemetery...You're really missing out. The peace and tranquility you find in them. Those that have gone before many times have left a final message on their tombstones. These messages are an inspiration and make me feel humbled and blessed! Go ahead...take the time...walk your local cemetery and read their messages and see how they reach out and touch you! You'll be glad you did! (quoted from another find-a-graver)
THE STORY TELLERS
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors.
To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.
Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before.
We are the story tellers of the tribe.
"When I go to a cemetery, I don't just see tombstones. I see families there. I see history there. I see much more than just a stone..."

You are so very welcome. Im glad I could help. :)
Change HAS BEEN MADE you asked for.
Internet recovered before I sent approved changes, that's why you got a NO CHANGE in a reply.

|RickC||RE: Beverly Cemetery photos|
You are very welcome. Glad to help. I tried to locate your request for the markers for Robert and Elizabeth Wainwright. I am confused. The marker I found has Robert and Elizabeth Albright on one side and the last name Albright/Wainwright on the other. I noticed that there are two memorials each for Robert and Elizabeth Albright listed in Beverly Cemetery. The one set has the same dates as what the Wainwrights have that you requested the photos of and the other has the same dates that are listed on the marker I located. The one that lists the same dates as the Wainwright request shows markers that are placed by the funeral homes at the time of burial. Not sure if these are the same people, but I tried and couldn't find the actual Wainwright names of Robert and Elizabeth, but the cemetery is larger and I did not get a chance to really look it over. Thanks

|Raymond S Feigh||Note of Appreciation :|
Good morning, Anna,
Thank-you for taking the time out of your day to send along the obituary and correct burial place for Elma Jean Rainbolt .... On a side note here, once a cemetery is added, the picture of the cemetery itself shows up ... I notice that this didn't happen here, and I also noticed that there are only 20 internments this cemetery (Listed) ...
Hopefully, one of our fellow Find A Grave'ers will pick up on this, and take some photos ... I am also going to request the headstone photo this morning ...
Again, thank-you for your kindness and generosity in this matter, as it is genuinely appreciated,
RAINBOLT Family Historian,
R S Feigh
I love the Story Tellers piece. Plus, after reading your bio. I now can tell my husband that there is a clinical term for my desire to go "graving"! Happy Hunting, Pamela

I love this piece as this is exactly how I feel about genealogy/Find-A-Grave, this passion for introducing the ancestors to the present-day followers. May I have your permission to add that piece to my profile?
