Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a dedicated & fanatic family historian & have been on THE QUEST since 1955. I can concentrate on my ancestors but get easily side-tracked by in-laws & the cousins of cousins of cousins, if you know what I mean, & if you love family history as much as I do, then you do know!

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
By Thelma Greene Reagan

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where others cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Joe James Williams
Hello, Syd,

Hope you are doing well!

I have a favor to ask. Wondering if you might have death certificate info for Joe James Williams who died in Montgomery County, Tennessee on October 3, 1935.

No rush, OK? Just if and when you have time.

Thanks! (and take care)

Lezlie

Berry O Neece Rose Hill Cemetery
Thank you for bringing to my attention the parents of Berry Neece. I just looked up several records, marriage, death cert, census and city directories then up graded Find A Grave for the family. This is not my family but rather I walked the Rose Hill Cemetery in Fayetteville, TN many years ago to collect head stone information.
