I start my research, by searching for my great grandparents. I became more interested day by day. I soon discovered that I had a ton of research and answers I had wonder about.|
I am a parent of four wonderful children, two step children, and two wonderful grandsons, and two step grandchildren. Family is very important to me. I been searching for family members for the past 5 or 6 years. I am still searching for my mother's dad family, and family members from Dennis Payne side of the family. My family are descendants of John and Joseph Payne of Va.. I discovered we had a military rich background.
My dad was in the US Army, and my great grand father in the Civil War on the Confederate side. We also had members of the Payne family side fighting on the Union Side.
My son is US Marine, 11 years vet. He is station at Oahu, Hawaii. I am very proud of him. He has want to be in the military since he was a small child. As of 5 months ago, my son has been station in Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan. Please pray for his safe return home. Chad has return back to the US soil safely.
My daughter, Jamie has moved to Kailua, Hawaii, and my youngest son moved to Murray, Ky.
Our family consist of Payne, Board, Barnes, Pugh, Stewart, Perry, Underwood, Richardson, and Brewer, Towery, DeBoes, Tyries, Haydon's, and so many more.
If you have pictures, I would love to post them with their bio.
I have a lot of pictures of headstones, but I have had a hard time posting them on this site.
I wish everyone the best of luck.
I am looking for anyone you might have information on Jeff Haydon and Mary Haydon, that had a daughter named Mary Elizabeth Haydon Brewer, my great grandmother and her parents, . I heard they were from Daviess county, Ky.. also from they might have reside in Clark County, Ill. I am also looking for any Brewers related to my grandfather, Frank burt Brewer, heard he lived in Daviess county, ky when he was young, but heard they were from the ares around Hot Springs Arkansas. Thanks for any help or leads.

someone has loaded pictures into the Glenn Allen Barnes memorial, #44286815, that belong to a Blackburn. Probably you will have to be the one to fix it. I looked at the Blackburn memorial, but that one has Blackburn pictures as well :-(

|Barton Lewis||Samuel Underwood|
Hi, I saw your memorial to Samuel Underwood b. 1778 d. 1851 in Christian County, KY. My ancestor William Barton was married to Ruth Underwood dau of Samuel Underwood 1715-1773 of Randolph Co., NC. They came to Christian County about 1805. Several 19th century histories of Christian County mention that Samuel Underwood came there about the same time.
Do you know who this Samuel's parents were? Your memorial says "son of W. C. and J. G. Underwood." Can you tell me where that information is from?
Also, your memorial states he was a casualty of the Civil War, but his death date is 1851, ten years before the War started. Did he actually die in 1861? I can't see the death date on the original head stone as a bouquet of flowers is hiding it unfortunately.
Rhonda, do you have any information on a Payne ancestor that may have been married to Nellie May (Moore) Payne? She died at the age of 18 or 19, so could not have been married long. I have yet to find her husbands first name. Could be a different Payne altogether but thought it was a shot to ask. Thanks,

|Virginia Graves||Robert Burdette|
You left a flower on the memorial of Robert Burdette in the Raywick Cemetery in Marion County Kentucky with a note that he was a relative. Wondered how you are related. He's my great great grandfather. My grandmother Nelle Burdette Graves' father was Willis Burdette. His father was Robert Burdette. I just posted a photo of him on his Find a Grave memorial. I live in Campbellsville KY.
I am related to the Deboes. My great grandmother was Sarah(Deboe)McGoodwin, Moore. I have information on her, but was wondering if you know anything about her. It is her first husband Tom McGoodwin(my great grandfather) that I need information on if you have any. Thanks, Ann Lynn

I believe her first name is actually Melissa. That is the way it is listed on the marriage index. Thanks
