I enjoy doing family genealogies of local North Fork Families and, as a result, I haunt graveyards on weekends. I would be pleased to share information on these families. Please do email me if you have any interest in the graves I have added.|

Thank you for taking and posting the photo of Henry Hedges' grave stone.
I would like to know if you have any additional information on Harvey Turner. My grandfather always spoke about his older brother and sister who died before his children were born. There names were Harvey and Marion. My family resided in Jamesport then relocated to Riverhead. The dates of birth and death seem right. I'm wondering if this is the same Turner family.

Thanks for getting back to me and fixing same, I see that you have details for her sister , Sarah and brother Arthur buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue. Did you do that research or did someone upload it to the site? I'm asking because if I find something about someone in the Simon, Purcell or Hayes families, how do i get it to you or the site? Mary Jane Purcell

|AAW||RE: Mary Hannah Palin Lewis, Riverhead|
Mary Palin Lewis was the daughter of Edwin Palin (#138752078), who was the brother of Thomas Palin (#138644885), my father's great-grandfather. Mary's father Edwin Palin co-owned a cemetery plot with Thomas in Cypress Hills Cemetery (Brooklyn), and they are both buried there. (Please read the bios that I wrote for both Edwin and Thomas).
If you are more closely related than I to Mary Palin Lewis then by all means keep the memorial. If you do transfer it to me, I promise to transfer it to a direct descendant if any request it of me. It is my strong belief that among those interested in F-G management the order of priority should be:
Direct descendants of deceased
Strangers who contribute genealogical/bio info
Strangers who contribute no bio/genealogy
Should more that one direct descendant want management, degree of closeness should determine management. Likewise with laterals.
In any case, if you decide not to transfer, could you please link her to her father Edwin #138752078?
And do you know where her mother (Edwin's first wife Sarah) is buried? She must have died between about 1850 and about 1860, judging from the information in the 1870 US Census for Edwin (he has a 9 & 6 year old in the household who surely are the children of second wife Elizabeth).

Could I use the photos for John H and Sarah M. and David S. Conklin? I will of course give you the credit for taking them. I know the time and effort that goes into posting memorials, and I appreciate your efforts.
