Bio Photo I live in Copley Ohio. I am a retired USAF lifer. I totally enjoy weapons, Annie Oakley, baseball, books and movies. Finding grave stones for people all over the U.S., to far away to come here, I also find very pleasing.

Ruth Cowan Memorial photo
Dennis, Thank you for taking the time to get Ruth's Memorial photo. However I was in error for requesting the photo. There is already a photo on her memorial. I apologize for wasting your time. I am not sure how I missed the existing photo. You are appreciated very much. Once again I apologize.

Thanks so much for the photo. His death certificate says that he died Mar. 20, 1909. It appears that the engraver first incorrectly gave a death date of Mar. 2. When he attempted to correct it, there was not room for an "0," so he just put in a faint "1."

And this is why it's good to have a photo!

RE: Beach
Thanks so much for info on James Beach. Did not have Wheeler Cemetery or his wife's maiden name Bement. I'll need to add him to FindaGrave or is it already listed?

Found Eveline (Beach) Bark Churchill. Had married names backwards. Married Fredrick Churchill first and then J. Bark. She is buried in Beach Cemetery, Hinckley, Ohio as Eveline Bark, wife of J. Bark.

Found Elizabeth (Beach) Underwood, wife of Michael Underwood. Didn't know her first name was Mary. She is buried as Mary E. Underwood in Galva Cemetery, Knox, Illinois.

Think I have everyone but Rhoda (Beach) Hale now. She married Prince William Hale, weird name. They moved to Illinois with others and then to Kansas. Have them on 1870 Census living with son, William Hale (born 1842 in Ohio). Most likely died in Kansas. I'll keep looking for her.

Thanks so much for Info. Really appreciate it.

RE: Beach
I have original handwritten genealogy records from Alger Beach & Mary (Near) Beach's grandson, Onesimus Gould Beach (my great-great grandfather). He states that Alger & Mary were married in Schoharie County, New York and had three children there.

Sarah (Beach) Wilcox - b. 1812 d. 21 May 1839 of consumption at age 27 years (I believe she is buried next to her parents, but the online date for her death is wrong. Tombstone is difficult to read from photo. Not certain who her husband was.)

Evaline A. (Beach) Bark Churchill - b. 26 April 1815 d. January 1902 Lived in Orleans, Ionia, Michigan for a while but might have died or been buried in Medina County, Ohio area. Not certain yet.

Harrison H. Samuel Beach - b. 4 August 1817 d. 2 August 1895 Buied in Beach Cemetery, Hinckley Township, Ohio. Onesimus calls him Harrison Samuel Beach, but Hinckley records and tombstone always call him H. H. Beach or H. Beach??

Family then moves from New York to Richfield Township, Medina County (later becomes Summit County in 1840) Ohio. Five children are born there. The five that you mentioned in your last email.

Elijah P. Beach - b. 23 October 1819 d. 11 March 1890 in Indian Territory. Buried in Arkansas City, Crowley County, Kansas.

Erastus F. Beach - b. 1821 d. 10 July 1874 Buried in Beach Cemetery, Hinckley Township, Ohio.

Rhoda (Beach) Hale - b. 24 October 1824 Lived in Ionia County, Michigan as well as Butler County, Kansas. Unknown death & burial.

James Beach - b. 15 April 1826 d. 23 September 1885 Died in Orleans, Ionia County, Michigan. Unknown burial site.

Elizabeth (Beach) Underwood - b. 25 August 1829 d. 20 August 1874 Unknown burial site.

The family then moved to Granger Township, Medina, Ohio for two years and then moved again to Hinckley Township, Medina, Ohio where the last child was born.

Harriet O. (Beach) Post Metcalf - b. 26 July 1835 d. 7 July 1893 and buried in Knox County, Illinois.

Alger Beach died of consumption. Mary (Near) Beach died of paralysis? according to Onesimus.

Thanks for all your help. I'm going to take a closer look at Sarah Wilcox next to Alger & Mary and might make some links. I really think that it is their daughter despite the date discrepancy.

RE: Beach
Thank you so much. Don't worry about it. I was hoping to get a birth date for both of them. I have birth years, but wasn't positive about them.

I believe that Mary was born in 1788 in Hudson, New York, and Alger was born in 1790 in Weston, Fairfield Co., Connecticut.

I did have the death dates. Bummer about the markers. It would have been nice for my records too. Thanks anyway.
