Searching for Family of Ron Spicer (April 16, 2015)

Ron Spicer was active in the Eugene, OR arts scene during the 1990s and possibly the 1980s and the
early 2000s. He passed away in 2010. At some time in the 1990s or early 2000s, he left some personal papers for safekeeping with my brother, Jeffrey Eaton, in Eugene, OR. Jeff passed away January 28, 2015. He asked me to try to find a family member of Ron Spicer who could take the papers. I am currently preparing to sell Jeff’s house and plan to dispose of the papers within a few months if I cannot track down a family member of Ron’s to take them.

In searching for Ron Spicer’s relatives on the Internet, I have learned the following:

Ron was the son (and possibly the only child) of Darwin J. Spicer of Thurston and his wife Elsie. Darwin Spicer worked for the Eugene Water and Electricity Board (EWEB) and passed away June 10, 1983 and Elsie passed away sometime prior to that date. Darwin had three sisters, at least two of whom have descendants:

Erma E Ratteree (Marcola, OR) passed away December 8, 2014 and was survived by a daughter (Sharon Wilkins), son-in-law (Wiley Wilkins), and a grandson (M. Wayne Ellis).

Eula Curtis (Sisters, OR) celebrated her 90th birthday in 2009. At the time, she had three daughters in the area: Suzie Aylor, Patty Swarens, and Nancy Curtis. Eula survived her sister Erma and must be about 95 years old now.

If you know any of these people, I would greatly appreciate it if you would pass along this message and my contact information—or send me their contact information if they wouldn’t mind hearing from me. I am:

Marian Eaton

Jan, are you related to Arnold Abrahamson? I have an old picture of him that I would like a family member to have. Thanks.

I didn't mean for you to transfer the two links. I wanted to ask if you knew if they have any living ancestors, and if you are related to them in any way. I am trying to find Dennis Tetz, I believe their son.
