|Scott Hutchison||RE: Benjamin Skinner Roberson|
I assume that my source was a history of the Orange Arty. His widow filed for a pension but it is kind of jumbled. Suggest you post question on VIRGINIA IN THE CIVIL WAR MESSAGE BOARD.
Mr. Curtis LeRoy Conner, age 83 of Fieldale passed away Friday at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born on Sept. 9, 1931 in Patrick County to the late Posie and Naomi Mize Conner. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by four sisters, Virginia Hylton, Evelyn Salmons, Essie Conner, Ruth Pack; and two brothers, Jewell and Linwood Conner. LeRoy had retired from Stanley Furniture and was a member of Good Home Primitive Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Mary Belcher Conner of the home; two daughters and a son in law, Jeannie and Roger Nolen of Bassett, Sandra “Robin” Conner of Collinsville, two grandchildren, April Nolen, Kristin and Josh Amos; one great grandson, Conner Casey Lee Amos; one sister and brother in law, Viola and Richard Morrison of Stuart; and two brothers and sister in law, Alvis Conner of Stuart, and Donnie and Lucy Conner of Stuart.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Elders Kenneth Bowles, Donnie Conner, and Jamie Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in the Jack’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home. Yep! Her sister, Nancy, is my 2nd great-grandmother.

No problem! She's a 2nd great grandaunt of mine. I had her maiden name correct in my family tree. I don't know how I got it wrong here. Thanks for pointing it out.

No, according to the death certificate, Dora Pedigo Snapp is buried in Mt. View in Vinton, VA. I also have the obit. that states burial at Mt. View Vinton. Dora's father (Charles L. Pedigo), died in 1910 and is buried there but his wife, Sarah Amanda Pedigo was still living when her daughter, Dora, died in 1919. I'm surprised that Dora is not buried in the same section.
Also, I found a list partially copied by Glenna Garnand Garner that lists Dora being buried there. I think she compiled it for USGenWeb Archives. I have not had a response from her.
It would be so helpful to have a Pedigo or a Snapp from Vinton who might have this information in a Bible, etc. I would have no idea who to contact except Barbara Pedigo Dillon (and I have to contact her through the Mt. View office. I think she is getting up in age so I can certainly understand). I'm getting there, too!
Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

|Brenda||Sister of Alice Pedigo Ross|
I am a granddaughter of Alice Pedigo Ross' sister, Dora May Pedigo Snapp. I am looking for anyone who could help me find her grave. I have her death certificate which says that she was to be buried at Mt. View Cemetery in Vinton, VA, but they have no record that she was buried there.
It was my mother's wish before she died that if my sister and I could find her grave, she wanted us to put in a gravestone. My mother was only five years old when her mother died but was told through the years that her mother was buried at Mt. View. My mother's father was Ernest (or Earnest) Lynwood Snapp. He remarried after Dora's death.
As my sister and I are getting up in age, it would be satisfying to know that we were able to do this for our mother, Mary Elizabeth Snapp Weaver. Possibly someone in the Pedigo family would have this information. I would appreciate any leads you could give me.

Do you want me to transfer Raymond Cecil Vaughn to you?
|Carl Scott||RE: Rush Scott|
Thank you, I am new to this research. I have a lot of family history I could share when I figure out how to do so.
|Barbara Wardsworth||RE: Eliz. Lybrook|
