|My name is Tina. Over the last few years I have come to love researching my ancestry and helping others. I have always been a history buff. My husband Douglass and I both do this together. I could never have imagined how much I loved to do this. I was always scared of cemeteries...now I just find them quiet and comforting and peaceful...filled with people I would have loved to meet!|
I would greatly appreciate it if, there is anyone out there, in the areas of Kansas City, MO., Los Angeles, CA, Buffalo, NY and Johnstown, PA that might be willing to look up and see if there are obits in these areas? For some of my descendants. Some things are just not easy to find and cannot be found online. I, would also be willing to do the same. For the Akron, Summit County area. Maybe we can help each other?
My families I am trying to research are In Ohio that settled here in the early 1800s to mid 1800s Harpster, Burwell, Sigler, Longabach or Longabough,Seibert all in Wayne/Ashland Co.& PA . Bossart, Shoup, Palmer, Bell and Peddicord of Blairsville and surrounding areas,PA. Meese, Wagner,McVaddin/McFadden, Penrod, Sommerset,PA area. Zimmerman, Roedal,and Wirth Germany to Johnstown,PA. Baker, Chamberlain and Ruple, Beers, (Stow,OH & East Cleveland, OH).

Hello I am up dating a family history, Berkebile Families in America, 6th edition of which Elma Woods and William R Shoup are members. Could I have your permission to use the photos you posted to their memorials in the new edition? You would of course have credit for the photos.
Do you have the names of the people in the photo which has William and the 3 girls?
Also I have access to Newspaper Archives perhaps I can help you with a bit of your research in Pennsylvania you will need to send me a list of names and dates at firstname.lastname@example.org put Berkebile in the subject header

I see that you do a wonderful job at volunteering for others on this site. Many people that I fulfill requests for have hundreds of requests but hardly any (if any) requests that they have fulfilled for others.
Send me a list of the people you are looking for (full name and birth/death dates) and I'll see if I can find them on Ancestry. I don't know of any other site that they're available on which I think is wrong. If our Governor made them public record, Ancestry should not have the monopoly on having access to them, especially with the annual fee they charge. Our death records are from 1906-1963.
Thank you for all you do to help others and I'll see what I can do for the death certificates.

You're very welcome! I did see Craymer's buried next to the Doyle's. Grandview is only 2 miles away, so I'll get those this morning.

Tina, thanks for the information.
|Karin King||RE: Mount Hope|
Thank you! Sounds like a real nightmare, not having anyone claim ownership or take care of a public place. And if it's not taken care of, the chances of vandalism is higher...we had that problem here in Michigan just recently. But don't take any risky chances in there!
|SD Cook||RE: AUBER|
Hi, and thanks for the reply.
I think I confuse myself at times. Let me try to explain:
There was an Albert 'J'Auber and an Albert (nmn) Auber, both born in 1871 it appears. Both lived in Ohio at some point and both in Wheeling (early 1900's both listed in Wheeling Directories).
Albert J, born in Ohio and appears to be the son of Henry and Agatha. He's buried in Akron (#90797629).
Albert (nmn)was born in Wheeling and buried there (#46250155). I know he is in someway related to Albert J, but I haven't been able to trace his parents or siblings. I'm wondering if Albert (nmn) is perhaps a middle name?
So it's mainly Albert (nmn) that I'd like to find more info on (parents, siblings etc).

Umm... I transferred Margaret's memorial to you *immediately* after I had found her obituary and created her memorial. You can add parent links whenever you'd like.
Have a good day!
|Ron Manley||RE: John A. Wartelle|
No, I'm not related to him.

Again, thanks for adding the photos. I just made a page for Gertrude Young's husband, Henry #96859554. Will you add their headstone there also. I will make a formal photo request so that you may get credit. Thank you.
