I find copying headstones interesting, I like finding interesting people with interesting story's. Most my family buried in the greater Philadelphia area but I live in the Harrisburg area so I'll copy headstones here. Worked inside most my life and wanted to be outside after I retired so copied headstones and published them in the Quarterly once issued by the Capital Area Genealogical Society.|
Please use 'edit' tab on memorial page for corrections and or additional information.
I now strictly adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. No exceptions. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.
Please don't justify an out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information. Am perfectly capable of doing this, especially now with the new EDIT system - much quicker than transferring. If you decide to not forward information or links because a transfer isn't done, then that's your decision.

|sr/ks||RE: many thanks|
Thanks very much, I just put them through. If they were there earlier, I had not checked my edits a few days and did not see them, but we're all set now.

... for the additional info on David Romberger which I have added to his memorial regarding place of rest and cause. Would you be able to confirm a date? I made a deductive guess but I could be wrong and would appreciate your input. Thanks.

Thank you for the information on Davis...I don't add all that to clutter them up. If you ever find his parents...I will gladly add them. I left out the fact he was a black soldier...that does not matter to me...he was an American soldier who died in service...long live the memory of Hayward Davis.

Do you know if it would be possible to contact the office of the cemetery regarding the above person. Need to know if this is my husbands grandmother. Thank you for your assistance.

I have submitted a request to have Amanda's memorial at St. John's Cemetery noted as CENOTAPH ONLY. I did not want to delete it as someone else would just add it again, making more confusion.
Have a great day!!

Mabel Kay Hetrick (83645117) should not have Bumbaugh listed in her name. Mr. Bumbaugh was her step father, Herbert Hetrick was her dad.

Thank you for the information on the cemetery. I messaged the contributor who made the memorials for Lee and his parents in the other cemetery. She is currently working on getting that entire cemetery photographed and entered, and she said she will check with their office to see if they have a record of Lee being moved there. If the original cemetery he was buried in was as bad off as you say, it is highly likely they had him moved to the one where his parents were to be buried.

Robert, I have a question I hope you can help me answer. You made a memorial for an infant by the name of Lee Edward Shuler in Baldwin Cemetery,Dauphin County. I have a copy of Lee's death certificate, which states that he born August 3, 1923 and died on August 8, 1923. It also shows that he was buried in Baldwin Cemetery in Steelton on August 10, 1923.
My question is this...is there any way you can find out if the body was moved? His parents Lee and Mary Shuler are buried in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin, Dauphin County and there is a headstone of Lee next to those of his parents. Another contributor made memorials for all three of them and included headstone photos.
I am attempting to find out for sure just where Lee is buried now. Is he still in Baldwin or was he moved to rest beside his parents at a later date? I am curious because Lee was the infant brother of my fiance's maternal grandmother.
Any help you might be able to give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the substantial edits on Martha Shadow's memorial. I've just about run out of Shattos/Shadows/Shaddows to find and much appreciate the help you have provided on the memorials you manage.
