This is a wonderful hobby - I enjoy walking different cemeteries - taking photos - researching - and adding to the information on Find a Grave. |
- I appreciate edits and the additional information they add to memorials. I will check any suggested edits & request more information if I can't verify the information
- use any photos any where & any way you wish. If you have a better photo, I'll delete upon request.
- generally happy to transfer memorial (if I am not related) Please let me know your connection.
PLEASE PLEASE do NOT add a photo of an obituary to any of the memorials I've made. Please paraphrase it, add the source and then use the last edit option to send it to me. I LOVE having the information from an obituary - it helps with maiden names and linking as well as rounding out the memorial. BUT, please don't add it as a photo. I'll add your contributor # to the source unless you request I don't.
I am currently working off a wonderful database developed by THE TROY IRISH GENEALOGY SOCIETY for St. Josephs Waterford cemetery. When I'm done (in several years) I plan on adding photos. I prefer to add one by one rather than uploading a database as I can make links more effectively.
In Mountain View Cemetery I am slowly mowing rows and adding names from the database Compiled by Minnie Cohen in June 1939
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumnís rain.
When you awaken in the morningís hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star-shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

Thanks for clearing up the edit I submitted. We have a Jacqueline M. Graham, born in 1955 and in a family obit it lists her as living in Ohio...seemed cut and dry (lol). My apologies and thanks for taking the time to post the obit!
Best regards, RC

Annie M. Goodrich #41995143 is the daughter of Wm H. and Angeline Goodrich. Wm was predeceased by his daughter Annie who died 1875. He died in 1907 and his obit states that he was survived by his wife and two daughters Ida and Carrie. I went to the cemetery to confirm the information that I originally had on the memorial as correct and added two photos. Ev C

I am very happy to do it, and I'm happier to have found that some of my relatives have memorials done, so I don't have to drive myself nuts looking for where they are buried. So thank you for all the work you have done!
I don't want any transfers but I appreciate you asked. I'd rather be able to transfer my memorials to others, so maybe a closer relative will find you one day who wants to manage memorials.
All the best.
