Although I am not a famous person (that I know of), I have famous people in my family. My brother Bill, was the drummer for the music group the Grateful Dead, and my mother's father was Clark Shaughnessy, the football coach.|
"It feels kind of like a sacred calling, honoring all of the lives that came before us."-Kendra Anderson, step-sister.
For research in the San Francisco area, I highly recommend the SFGenealogy website, where there are nooks and crannies stuffed with information. The site includes the surrounding counties as well. Family Tree magazine voted the website "Best State website" from 2010 to 2013.
My Family Tree can be found at Rootsweb World Connect Project-
The San Francisco Kreutzmanns.
We were a part of the "Germans to America" wave although a bit late-1886 was the immigration year of my great grandfather, Dr. Henrich Josef Kreutzmann from Frankfurt am Main, Germany to San Francisco via the 'Gellert'. As I add names to the tree, I've noticed frequent Irish-German connections. My best guess why is that both like their ale and naturally become drinking buddies :).

You are very welcome. Sorry it took so long, as you know it's been raining, but the big hold up was the overcast; because Father's name on the marker wasn't filled in dark (like the name below it), I needed a little more sun to be able to get it to show up decently on the picture!
Thanks for the 'SFGenealogy' website tip! I was born in SF, lived on the corner of Greenwich & Broderick. My mom worked as the hostess at Tarantino's in the 40's when it was 'top hat'. Later, growing up, she'd regale us with inside stories of the Hollywood famous who stepped out of limos to dine there in it's heyday. But things have changed through the years. I loved to hear her tell stories about the people I saw from the old movies, but my kids and grandkids don't care about 'stars' they don't know, they just like to stop for lunch, when we're in the city, where their beloved Yiayia once worked-which is even better.
