Bio Photo Dear Ancestor

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.

I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Hi Sue, I do not keep a record of edits. Not sure what I sent you that could have been wrong. He died in Leeds, son of Eben and Sarah Libby?-- Amy

That picture is exactly the reason I sponsored him. What a kind looking man he was.

Would you like the original? I can't imagine you saying no, Ha! You are her 4x grand-daughter after all. I looked again and I see no family relation on our side. If you want it send me a private message with your address. I'll keep a copy in the photo book it came out of.

Yeah, how cool is that picture! There are a bunch of other photos but that's the only one that's labeled Parker. A lot of others, sadly don't have any label. I don't see a family tie-in to us, maybe she was a friend or just someone they admired for living such a long life. I'm so glad I could get you a picture of your grand-folk.

Hello! If you're inclined, I'd love to manage Lucinda S. Parker's memorial. You can see, I've added a picture of her! In our family photo album that I've been starting to post. I've seen her picture for so long I feel like I know her. Take care, Sarah

Lydia (Parker) (Wescot) Waterhouse
Thank you for creating the Find A Grave memorial for the sister of one of my ancestors, John Parker of Gorham, Maine. Lydia Parker of Gorham, Maine, married Abner Wescot on 12 Sept 1793. Mr. Waterhouse was her second husband after Mr. Wescot died.
