I no longer make changes, additions, transfers from messages left on my contributor page. Please follow FindAGrave procedures by using the Edit tab on the memorial page to request changes, additions, request transfers, etc.

Thank you for following FindAGrave procedures.

Contributor Connie posted this. I thought it was such a great idea I posted it to my page! Thanks, Connie!

Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits! Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.

To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.

Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!

The exception:
Requesting a transfer other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.

Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs, photographs I have taken of grave stones or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to or any other website or personal webpages.

Please see FindAGrave Frequently Asked questions for more information:

How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Many thanks to everyone who has contributed information and photos for my memorials. I usually link to the individual contributor using HTML code. If this is unacceptable to you just let me know you prefer to remain anonymous.

Well, that's not the first time that has happened. I use to travel between Boone and Concord, going down the Old Mountain Road between Hiddenite and Mooresville. Guess I carried over one picture from one cemetery to the other. I would stop at Liberty and take pictures, then go on to Bethlehem and take pictures. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I have taken care of it.

RE: Harriet Ann Deann Shoemaker
yes I am aware of how they have translated it just as the spelled his first name incorrectly the actual written record in the Holy Trinity Sacrament Book spells her name on the marriage record as Deanan but if you look at the 1850 DC census she and Isaiah Shoemaker are on her family members name is spelled Nip Dean also she is a member of the well know Dean Family her family as well as Isaiah Shoemaker's family are spoken of in many books as their farm lands were confiscated in order to protect DC during the civil war and they had to file papers in order to get reimbursement for the loss of the land.

You have her death on here as 1857 which has me very confused as an Elizabeth is on the Census records with Benjamin in 1860 and they have three children Benjamin 1857,Lewis 1858 and Eliza Virginia 1860 , is their a third wife buried there that might explain how Elizabeth is dead in 1857 yet still having children???

RE: Adina Emilia Dezavala
Adina is your aunt? I heard many good stories from Mr Henry Guerra (Angelus Funeral Home & electronic media), who knew her personally. I knew someone who jumped on the blade of a front end loader/back hoe to prevent the destruction of the grave of Col Ben Milam. He told me that he was inspired by Adina. I am honored to sponsor her Find a Grave, and hope to continue, that she may continue to inspire the people of Texas.

I am a past President of the Wm Travis Chapter of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, and past Governor General of the Granaderos y Damas de Galvez.
