I became interested in my family's history about 15 years ago. Since then I've located many relatives, some living, most not, mainly through internet research. My family lines are Wilder, Watson, Pearson, Howell, Hazel, Marberry, Young, and Robinson. Several distant cousins who found me online very generously gave me the Hazel family Bible with the names of my forefathers inscribed in it & a Hazel photo album of my ancestors.Prior to receiving those, I hadn't known the names of my Hazel ancestors, much less what they looked like! What gifts they were!|
I have also worked on my husband's family tree and the main surnames in his tree are Lane, Bryant, Shepherd, Barnett, Potts, Armstrong, Killick & White-West. Working on these lines with other family members (Sue!) has cemented lifelong friendships that I cherish.
For me, the last chapter of documenting an ancestor's life is finding their final resting place and hopefully, getting a photograph of their grave. It is my way of honoring them and preserving their memory for generations to come.
Find-a-Grave has been such a great tool in completing the stories of so many of my ancestors. Many wonderful volunteers have provided photographs for me and I hope to be able to do the same for others. Any photographs I have posted on findagrave may be used without permission or any credit given. The more people who share the photos the longer our departed loved ones will be remembered!
I have been married for over 40 years. I have 3 adult children, and 1 shelter dog. Now that my kids are grown and on their own I am able to devote more time to what I love to do - work on my family tree! They all think I'm a little over the top with my passion for genealogy, and I would have to say, I agree with them!

Your Welcome. I see theres not much info on them but they both died in California. I guess there must be family here in Victoria.

|History Hunter||RE: Wilder|
Yes, the cemetery was purposely destroyed by a past owner. So we only have bits and pieces of information. No Watsons.

No, I just added a cemetery that we are calling Wilder, to McLennan county hoped there might be a connection.
Are you related to any Wilder's in McLennan county TX?
|K Rennie||John Watson and Son Matthew|
Matthew Watson is my 4th GG. I'm wondering if anyone can explain the 1850 Census as it shows John and Elizabeth living with Matthew at that time. If this is the same John then something is not quite right because he died in 1849. Thanks and I hope someone can help as I'm very interested in this line and also I have quite a bit of information on the descendants of Matthew and Martha.

Dear L. Lane,
I think the bio is a fine tribute to Dr. Woolsey's memorial.
Thank you for the addition.

Good Afternoon! My name is Tammy Gephardt. I just came across your Memorial for John Fuller Lane, who is my 1st Cousin 7x Removed. John's father Richard Lane, married Sarah Fuller who's parents were John Fuller Jr and Sarah Heath. John Fuller Jr is my 7th Great Grandfather. The Fuller Family married into the Standiford's which is also part of my line. I am very happy to share more with you...as I have a tree on Ancestry.

Your are more that welcome. I try to take photographs of grave sites during my travels and pick the older sites and cemeteries hoping that family will evetually see them and ask for control. That is how I fould my Grandfathers site in rual MS. Not sure if there is a connection to your Howell side of the family as my coming from Texas by way of Mississippi on my Dad's side of the family. My maternal side is from Mexico. I do know that I still have relations in Texas, Arizona, Alabama and California.

Hi! Thanks for your quick response. I am not related either, but I've done a lot of work on this family. Sure, you can transfer the memorial to me. That would likely make it easier for the both of us to make the corrections and add supporting documentation. Thanks for your contributions to findagrave! Take care, Amy
