Mary Ann Hoke Smith
What is your connection to Mary Ann Hoke Smith? I would like to know how you found the amount of information you included in her memorial. I have recently discovered that she may be my grandmother's birth mother. I am interested in finding out as much about her as possible. If she died in childbirth, did the child survive. I have not been able to find out anything about her husband, C. Smith or why she was moved from one cemetery to another or why everyone else in the Hollywood Cemetery plot where she is now buried has a marker and she does not.

I was wondering how you figured out she was the daughter of my great great grandfather Ezekiel Huls? I have a Harriet I believe is their daughter because of census records but the estimated birth year is 1906 and I have a Hattie Stockhan but it says in census that it was his step daughter. Can you help me figure this out as it is really important to me I get the facts right as this is all I can find on my family. Thank you very much. Tamara Huls

You have a picture of the grave marker for this memorial. His wife has passed and I added the link to his memorial. If you would like you can add the picture of the grave marker on her memorial also. Thanks for your work on Find A Grave.

RE: Re: John Edward Morris
Thank you for your reply. I was shocked when I came upon this accidently while doing other Morris research. I actually had forgotten I had actually entered the information on line.
I didn't remember whether I had requested photos or not. I have been trying to find information on my ggreatfather for years. Although I have contact with other family members, he was the black sheep of the family and was estranged from his family. I followed a story on this John Edward and came to believe this to be him. When the lady at the cemetery asked if he was "Jack", I even more convinced. I had tried years ago to find out about him from this cemetery and had not had much success. The only thing I knew about him was that he liked to go by the name of Jack and he was a house painter by trade, both of which matched this John Edward as well as the information on his death certificate that he was from TN and his birth years was right. Anyway I have become slightly obsessive about this and wanted very much to go there and get pictures. For some reason pictures were very important
to me. I want you to know what a positive impact this can have on a . Also I am one who is always curious about the story behind the person and hope my sharing it will, fulfill a need for you as well.

Guess I'll never know if this is really my ggrandfather but the journey has been fun. Thank for your contribution.

TO: Susann

I don't know if you will receive this message but, I want to thank you for adding pictures to my posting. I live in VA and have never had the opportunity to come to TX to take pictures. I am especially grateful to you.

Do you have any connection to this family or just a kind volunteer who takes pictures? Would love to hear from you. wminson@swva.net
