Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an avid photographer, "trying to see the whole world" traveler, plumeria grower, cat lover, lover of genealogy and cemeteries as well as a travel agent for a large Houston company. I'd be happy to photograph in the New Braunfels, Texas or Houston, Texas area. I research family names of Bender - ancestors and descendants of Charles (Karl Ludwig) Bender from the area of Darmstadt Germany who eventually settled in Humble, Texas and then in Houston, Tx. I also research the Halm family who immigrated to the New Braunfels, Tx area from Germany in the 1840's, the Townsen clan from Lampasas, Tx as well as Davis family from North Carolina, and my Rembert family and descendants from Charleston, SC, my husband's family,Stuart from Michigan, and his mother's side, the Pardoe family still in England.

I am very happy to transfer memorials to family members, whether they are your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins unless of course, they are my family. I have no reason to hang onto memorials that are not my family and will gladly transfer them to you. Please let me know how you are related to the requested transfers.

They are my grandparents. My adopted mother was Beverly Jean Moerbe, she's listed here too.

RE: Emma and Agnes Pfeiffer
It is possible that both sisters were married to Edward Pfeiffer. It wasn't unheard of for a surviving husband or wife to marry his or her spouse's sibling. However, there is no direct evidence that can be discovered from his death certificate, and no marriage license is listed for Edward Pfeiffer and Emma Besch.

However, we did discover a marriage license for Edward Pfeiffer and Agnes Besch from February 21, 1903 issued in Houston, Harris County, Texas.

The only thing we know for sure is that Edward Pfeiffer's death certificate indicates that he was a widower at his death in 1951. Both sisters died prior to 1951, Agnes first in 1912 and Emma next in 1943.

Sorry we don't have any additional information. Perhaps a relative may provide more information at some point.

RE: Emma Agnes Besch Pfeiffer
Hi Nancy,

The information we listed for Emma Pfeiffer comes from her death certificate. It lists her parents and the birth and death dates match her grave marker.

There is also a death certificate for Agnes Pfeiffer that matches the information you have on her memorial. We believe that they are indeed sisters although having similar names seems unusual.

Thank you so much for the photo of the baby area where Albert Ferrell Harbuck is resting. I did not expect to find a headstone since his parents were probably not financially able to purchase one. I am so happy to have him identified and connected with his family. Good job!!

Glenwood Cemetery
Nancy,
I am helping with the Glenwood Cemetery Project. I understand that you would prefer not to do the unmarked graves. So that I don't duplicate what you have already done, could you tell me if you were able to finish photographing the gravestones in H-2 and H-3.
Thanks for your help
Lee

RE: Duplicate Oscar Rahe
It is deleted, or at least appears to be. I am not related to Oscar - that is on my in-laws side.
