Bio Photo BEFORE YOU SEND ME THE OBITUARY YOU HAVE COPIED AND PASTED WITHOUT EDITING, READ THIS;
I follow the findagrave guidelines for posting obituaries. I extract the information needed to fill in the basic data, and may ad organization affiliation and military career, but that's about it. So please do not send me full obits, as I will not post them. If you want to take your time and edit out certain points, you may do so. I will not post the names of living individuals.

..........

Cemeteries are such unique places. I enjoy the beauty of sculptures, mausoleums and various items around the interred. The statuary, the iconic images, representative symbols, old rod iron fencing; it is all fascinating. From the most elaborate statue to the simply inscribed piece of wood.

There is so much mystery in a cemetery. Stories that are told and stories to wonder about and stories to find out about.

I have been to cemeteries in at least 30 states including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Costa Rica, South Georgia & Falkland Islands and Argentina.

I am a 4th generation San Franciscan. Living in Marin County for over three decades.

I enjoy taking photographs of the surroundings and capturing the beauty of the burial plot. I do my best to capture the entire tombstone in as pretty a shot as I can manage. I continually watch for seasonal changes or offerings to capture a better representation of the marker and view.

I spend a great deal of time in cemeteries (physically and virtually.) I photograph and document a select number of cemeteries in the counties of Marin, Sonoma and Mendocino as well as San Francisco and Colma.

For the most part, I only create newer memorials from obituaries that I have photographed or intend to photograph. This allows me to concentrate my time with cemeteries I am familiar with. My "numbers" are fairly high, but I know where each interred is within the cemetery.

I have finished photographing the following cemeteries in rural West Marin, Olema, Bolinas, Tomales Presbyterian, Tomales Catholic and Marshall. Have photographed B'nai Israel, Fernwood, Little Lake and Willits with continual visits for additions.

International
I traveled to Antarctica in 2009 and visited Grytviken Island, where Ernest Shackleton is interred. Stop by and leave a virtual flower for one of the mariners.

I don't have my email listed, so please chose a random memorial "edit request" for a more personal note.

Please advise me that you are posting my photos to your Ancestry family tree. I am very happy to share (or provide full sized original) but let me know. I spend hours and travel hundreds of miles to obtain photos in all kinds of weather. Copying my photo and then using as "your own" is the same as shoplifting.

Samuel Lewis b. 1848 edits
Hi Colette. Thank you for finding Samuel Lewis's obituary. It's actually one of three that I've seen so far, but the most detailed. He was my great-great grandfather. He sounds like a good soul. I would like to have met him.

I will accept the edit for place of death but I hesitate to accept the edit to put the initial "B" on his name. The obituary you found is the only evidence that I've ever seen with that initial. I'll look through my notes and then decide what to do.

I'd like to put the obit on his Bio section. I sure wish I had a picture of him. He's been one of my favorite ancestors to research.

Thanks again for the obituary.
Kim

Cerini, Arthur and Elizabeth #5195778 & 5195779
Hi Colletta,

I am not sure exactly when John and Frances Cerini moved from Sonoma County to Fresno so I'm unsure as to where Arthur was born and died, however, according to his age, the date calculator indicates his birth to be on Dec, 6 1897.
Elizabeth's date of birth calculates to be June 17, 1900 five days after the US Census was taken in Fresno so she was not yet born. The Cerini's moved to Fresno and never returned to Sonoma County, Elizabeth was most likely born and died in Fresno.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Wilts Cemetery
I see you have done a lot of memorials for this cemetery. I am in hopes you will be able to help me.
I am trying to find the daughter of Juanita Francis Churchill Gouber memorial #97946848 and her husband #97946838. Her name is Marie Ann Gouber Ward born abt 1934 and I believe died in 2006 but I am unable to locate her or her husband who's first name I do not have.
Do you think you can help?
Juanita is the daughter of my great grandparents son.
Thanks in advance for any thing you can do.

H., E.
There is a listing for a H., E. buried here in Bolinas. Could this possibly be a Edward Hieber born December 5, 1950. If it is, he is my Uncle and myself and his daughter are looking for his grave site. Please send a reply to my email address of spartney5769@yahoo.com Thank you so much if you can help. We do know that he did die in Bolinas several years ago in a shed behind some kind of building. He was homeless. Sandie Partney

RE: Bolce
My pleasure - - - I try not to do "edit's" without being fairly certain about them - it's hard (and embarrassing) to take them back. And good for you for checking-out the birth place on your own; it speaks to your own desire for accuracy.

Jeff :)

Thank you for pointing out the spelling variant; I've added the info to her memorial. I've seen many spelling and date errors on grave markers. I am assuming you contacted the person who duped the memorial at Mt Tam Cemetery -- she obviously can't be in both places. I appreciate your comments in your bio, I think there are too many people uploading large amounts of data to boost their stats, rather than paying attention to accuracy. I too find that annoying.
