Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays. If I do not respond to your requests quickly, please remind me after the holidays! This is a very busy time.
Thank you for visiting!
I and my mother, Mary Edith "Meg" Stevens, are/were long-time supporters of Findagrave -- a wonderful site to place memorials and do research.
She sadly passed away in May of 2013, but her love of genealogy and helping others find their family, lives on.
Of the many memorials I now manage after her passing, many are related to my family, but most are not. We did this in thanks for the many people who have helped us with my own genealogy. And I would like to make a public thank you to all of the photo volunteers who have helped over the years.
One of my interest areas is the American Revolution. Please feel free to visit my page on Facebook and assist in the research. https://www.facebook.com/groups/RevWarRsch/.
I also welcome you to follow my weekly blog at GenealogyBank or to follow me on Twitter.
Please check my virtual cemeteries. If your ancestors are listed in one of my volumes, I have most likely found and transcribed their obituaries.
Thank you. I wish you success in your family research.
***** REQUESTS FOR CORRECTIONS *****
I love to get positive feedback, but PLEASE DO NOT leave CORRECTION REQUESTS on the profile page, as it labor intensive to correct them, particularly if done from a tablet. The appropriate place to make requests is via an individual's EDIT tab. (Sorry, but all correction requests left here will not be addressed until sent properly.)
If you wish to download one of my tombstone pictures, you may do so for personal usage and should give proper credit. Photographs of individuals require permission, as they come from family collections.
If you wish to send a transcription of an out of copyright obituary for a memorial, I will try to add it. Obits under copyright should be summarized (historical ones over 72 years; newer ones may be under copyright longer.) Thank you.
REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS
If you would like a transfer and are a direct descendant, please communicate that. If you are requesting a transfer, but are not closely related, please explain the reason.
Also, as the number of memorials I manage increases, I sometimes elect to transfer without being asked. If you receive an unwanted transfer, please transfer back and let me know. Thank you.

|Michelle Shreve||RE: Nathaniel Bishop Bible|
Soooooo, back to my question, I guess we can assume the bible was the property of Betsey Bishop/Collins and not her mother. If this is true, the info Betsey wrote in it may not be accurate pertaining to her parents and family members other than herself and her spouse. Just trying to get a feel for the source (bible pages)and how accurate it may be.

Mary are you related to any of the Oakford's. Isaac B. Oakford was my 2nd great grandfather and I had a question about his Birth year. I have it as 1834 and I'm trying to find out where I got that date. Any help that you can provide would greatly be appreciated. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
|Edward Zwicker III||transfer request|
This is my Great-great-grandfather. Thanks to your research, I now know where he is buried. Would you please transfer this memorial to me.
Edward C. Zwicker III
My stupid computer !!!! (bangs head on keyboard)
I sent you a SAC back on Oct 22 for A.R. Lukens (memorial# 105097937), I haven't seen any changes, yet. I'm hoping that everything is OK with you!
If you would like, you could transfer him to me (I had his memorial from Spring Grove deleted when I found yours). I believe he is the brother of my Great-Great Grandfather Thomas S. Lukens.
Either way, please let me know that you're OK?
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

|Gertz W Jungblut||Jacob Youngblood * 1819 + 1891|
Good evening from Germany,
researching some ancestors of mine in the Philadelphia area I found the description you or your mother has given to one of them. Jacob Youngblood belong to my family tree and was born 15. June 1820 in Alsfeld, Hessia, Germany.
I would be interested to know where the originals of the documents which are placed in the grave description are to be found (Transit Permit, Obituary, Return of Death etc.).
Would be very helpful if you could give me an address.
At last the question whether maybe you have a photo of the Grave epitaph?
Dr. Gerth W. Jungblut
Thank you for the transfers

Hi Mary, I was wondering if you are at all related to Julie E. Nordstrom whose grave you posted from Evergreen Cemetery, FL. Julia was my great grandfather, Julius Albert Zittel's, 1st cousin. Julia's parents were Julius Carl Zittel (Chicago architect) & wife Adeline Baer (both buried in Graceland Cemetery, Chicago). I was hoping to connect with living realtives of Julia Zittel Nordstrom.

Thank you so much for the transfer.
|Jamie Ruth Parfitt||Thanks for the news clip|
I added the information you gave me and I DID give you credit. You did the finding and the connecting! :-)

Hi Mary, I make my posts the way I want/like them, any added information should come to me first via the edit tab. I cleaned up, out and up dated my listings yesterday. Thank you for the quick response. Jane
