Nothing exciting is happening to me, but I would ask for your prayers and positive attentions for my mother (fighting breast cancer) and for the family of Renee Holder (runner, pharmacist who worked in palliative care, non-smoker, vegan) who died at 31 about two months after receiving a diagnosis of lung cancer.
I respond to SAC's as I am able, please be patient; anything sent via e-mail is up to date as of 10/1/16.
Please don't send obits if there is already obit like material on the page. Rest assured I will get to your request. Edits sent via the new system get done faster, you can check to see if I have approved or declined your submission.
Cemeteries are very quiet peaceful places to me. I would like to think that each person that comes before us has something vital to pass on. This is my effort to connect people to make sure that our life stories are carried on, long after we are gone.
If you find something wrong in my listings, no matter how tiny, please send a SAC or e-mail me so I can fix it.
Some of the last names in my research are: Alden, Burge, Burton, Connors, Cook, Crump, Drewer, Fleck, Fosley, Lee, Morf, Prickett, Ward and Welty.
Some of the places my ancestors lived: Cape Giradeau County, MO; New London, IA; Spokane, Seattle, Tacoma, WA; North Dakota; Montana; Minnesota; Coalgate and Coal County, OK.
I do very limited research on my husband's family with the last names of Neakrase and Smith (yeah, unique and ubiquitous).
I proudly volunteered my time as a County Keeper for Contra Costa County, California.

I believe that I got it from my sister. Her husband has a bunch of canadian relatives. This branch of the Smiths does not show as a relation to me.
|KyGal||Thomas Cropper/Mt Zion Cemetery/Lewis Co KY|
Our farm joins this cemetery in Lewis Co. so I went hunting for your Thomas Cropper 1861-1926 earlier this week since it did not appear that anyone had helped you yet.
I did not find a marker for either his wife Mary or him. There are several unreadable markers and many marked by field stones and I'm sure some with no marker in the cemetery. You can just see an indent in the ground and you know it's a grave.
I think I found all of his siblings that are buried in the cemetery and parents/grandparents/etc.
Sorry I couldn't find your guy!

Thank you so much for your nice note - they are few and far between! Notes like yours keep me going! I am going thru the entire state of Iowa and - after almost two years - can see a light at the end of the tunnel!!
Keep your chin up. I am a 9 year breast cancer survivor and had a friend with lung cancer. They removed one entire lung and one third of the other and he lived another 20+ years (he was much older (60+) when diagnosed). Pray to St. Peregrinn and St. Jude (doesn't matter if you're Catholic or not). Do a google search - you'll find specific prayers for both.

|B J||many evergreen edits|
Megan, hope the move went well. Getting tired of my many tiny edits for locations? Hope not; am slowly moving through section by section. You beat me by several years.
