RE: Lottie Huey
Thanks but I'm not related to Lottie Huey. George Huey's last wife Elsada was my grandfathers sister.

Boyce Memorial
Hi, I was at the Green River Cemetery today taking a few pictures and have posted a picture of Sylvester Boyce's, Charlotte Palmer's and Nelson Boyce's headstone on their memorials.

Cheers...

David White Native?
Hello,
Several people have asked if I can confirm the story that David was at least part Native. I can say this may have been misunderstood from statements that he was an "Indian fighter," meaning he fought Indians on the Western Frontier during the Revolution.

I can also say that he is my 4th great-grandfather, and my autosomal DNA shows no Native DNA, just British Isles and Scandanavia (mostly Norman French). This should have shown up in this close of a relative. I do have a very distant line of Patawomeck that is well-documented but too far back to show up in current autosomal tests.

I do have DNA matches with other descendants of David White, none of whom have Native DNA.

It seems extremely unlikely all of us would be absent any confirming results.

However, I am always interested in sources of the stories. Where did you learn this?
