I transcribe and photograph cemeteries/grave sites because I know there is someone out there who can't make the trip or who doesn't really know where their loved ones resting place may be. My Motto: By Preserving Our Past, We Prepare For The Future!jhh That one transcription or photo CAN make a difference!|
This pix is of my baby girl (Toni Stewart), she is named after Tony Stewart of NASCAR.
Ann is coming along slowly with the spider bite. She has had a big backstep and agressive therapy is now the norm.

|WILLIAM K. Bowen||JAMES J. WILLIAMS, FAG# 38161473|
Thanks for your response. I would like to change the biography currently posted on his find a grave.com memorial to read as follows:
James J. Williams (1853 - 1920) married 1st Mary Lee, b. 14 May 1854, d. 26 Apr 1908. After his first wife's death, he buried her earthly remains in Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Bulloch County, Georgia. Several years later, he married 2nd the widow of Elder Remer Dekle (1858 - 1903), Mary Jane Bowen Dekle (b. 24 Nov 1858, d. 25 Nov 1943), the daughter of the late Silas Elisha Bowen (1815 - 1896) and Margaret E. McElveen (1822 - 1879). After his death, his 2nd wife, Mary Jane Bowen Dekle Williams, buried him beside his first wife in the Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. His 2nd wife lived another 23 years and when she died her children from her 1st marriage had her interred in the private Bowen-Dekle Cemetery, located near Excelsior Community, Candler County, Georgia beside her first husband.
Note: Thank you for all the good works you have brought to the descendants of those deceased ancestors you have posted on findagrave.com. May our good Lord continue to bless you and all your family.

Yes, you probably need to delete the military information. I was convinced this was the same William Bird because teh wife of William J. Bird, the one who did enlist in Company A, 4th Battalion Georgia Sharpshooters was also buried at Lower Lotts Creek Church..his wife is the one listed as Lucy Ann Edenfield Bird. But I learned from a cousin that the couple were separated at the time of William's death and the 1900 Census confirms this as William J. Bird is living in the household of one of his daughters and her family. My cousin told me that the husband and wife were estranged. So that is the reason for the Confusion. The Pensions records of William Bird prove he is not the one buried at Lower Lotts Creek Church. Sorry for the Confusion.

No I'm not related, sorry. I'm a teacher at Martha Puckett & was trying to solve a little mystery. There were 4 find-a-grave requests that had been submitted over a year ago at "Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery" in Jesup.
As far as I know there is no such cemetery. There is the Piney Grove Cemetery in Odum & Spring Grove Cemetery right down the street from Martha Puckett. I went to Spring Grove Cemetery first since it was closest & found one of the requests there. While I was there I took some photos of the surrounding graves which the Cowarts happened to be.
FYI.....2 of the other requests turned out to already have memorial pages with headstone photos at Piney Grove Cemetery.

Thank you for the information. IF you know the relationships for these I would be glad to add them.
This person is not buried in the Cemetery you have them buried in. The cemetery you want is in Berkely County. The bio: says that she is buried in Scotia S.C. The cemetery you chose is a family grave yard which has not been used since 1948 and is in Chester County, S.C..

Thank you very much JoAnn for the transfer.
|Larry Krueger||RE: Mary Paul|
You're welcome. It is a tough cemetery to get right. A couple of us are trying to sort things out for everyone right now. It is two cemeteries but divided into 4 parts. So if a person doesn't know that is can be hit or miss to get people right.

Thank you, Ann
