RE: Isaac Daniels
Hi Tim: I have not logged in for so long, it is incredible. I am catching up today. Thanks for posting all that good info on Isaac Daniels. He is not my direct ancestor, but as you know, I am 90 percent sure he was my ancestor's uncle! Very interesting life. Thanks again Gail

Isaac Daniels
Hi Tim: I saw that you had some biographical information on Isaac, and that you have his father as John Daniels who was taken by the British. I wondered what your source is for that?

Also, where did you find the GAR records -- Did you mean DAR?

Sanford Mosier was in possession of the Isaac Daniels Bible (from Rev Pension) and a Daniels researcher stated with no source, that Sanford Mosher or Mosier married a Julia Daniels. This would explain why Sanford had the Bible record.

I have that two of Isaac's wive's names were Mary and Rhoda. There was no source for this at all.

Town of Bedford, Historical Records, 1980.

* Enlisted in the Levies Cromwell, John 1779 Daniels,

* Two yrs. under Capt.
Hunter Joined Stevens Rangers (McD. p. 758) Father of Isaac Daniels

The IGI is not a good source, but I use it for clues. Here is a cryptic noteL

IGI
19 NOV 1773 Marietta, , Franklin (sic), Ohio Marriage also to Mary Jackson Marietta, Washington, Ohio

I am researching your Isaac in the belief that he is some relation, possibly a brother, to Philip Daniels who was from Westchester County and migrated to Washington County, Ohio. Bolstering this theory, besides the location of Westchester, is that Philip lived a LONG time. Not over 100, but this side of my family is unusually long-lived. Philip also supposedly served in the Revolution (per his death notice in the newspaper), but he did not apply for a pension, nor have I found any record of it.

Is your source for John Daniels being Isaac's father the same as mine above? THanks!

Daniels in PA
Hi, Tim. My family tree goes back to the Montrose area in PA. My great-great-great-grandfather was James Daniels, born about 1812 in PA. Married to Alvira, born about 1819 in PA. One of his children was named Isaac. My great-great-grandfather was his son William Thode Daniels, born in 1843 in Montrose. The family later moved to Wisconsin, which is where James and Alvira died. Any relation to you? I hope to get up that way to research courthouse records.

Emlyn T. Jenkins
According to the Lackawanna County Will Index 1940-1952, Emlyn T. Jenkins buried in Abington Hills Cemetery died on 16 December 1940. I am in the (very long) process of transcribing Abington Hills Cemetery, and I am cross checking it for better dates with the Will Indexes. If I come accross any more information on your graves, I will send it along.

Denny question
Hi. You have a picture of Esther Corbett Denny from the South Gibson Cemetery. I'm curious, did the DOB listed on find-a-grave come from the stone? Unfortunately, the picture isn't high enough resolution to tell. The reason I ask is because the year listed would make her 12 years old when her first child was born. Elsewhere, I've seen an earlier date (1777) given, which makes more sense given the dates for her children and husband. Are you any relation to the Denny family? Or just taking pictures of various old stones. In either case, many thanks.

I would very much like to get your permission to add these photos of Morill Charles Akens & his family Memorials on my tree in Ancestry.com I also included the Lat. & Long info you sent me on him. By any chance do you have this info on his spouse, Mabel Evelyn (Masters) Akens?
