Since you say you have a lot of info on the Vine Street Cemetery, I would like to ask you another question.
I believe William Kohrock (Abt 1826-1891) was the brother of my gg grandmother.
Doing my due diligence... I see that you have a Memorial for Margaret Wollenhaupt #141689525.
To help you out, Margaret was the daughter William (Wilhelm) Kohrock and Elizabeth Schmid, born in Hazleton with the same date you have. I believe her full name was Anna Margaretha as noted in her marriage record of 1872 to Carl Birkhahn at Christ Ev. Lutheran in Hazleton. She married August Wollenhaupt (d.1917).
I would like to locate her parents in Vine Street. I know mother, Elizabeth was buried at Vine Street according to her death certificate. (b. atb. 1818-d. 1906).
Margaret's father, William died 2 April 1891 according to church records. I am hoping he is in Vine Street as well.
William and Elizabeth's other daughter, Eva Dorothea (1861-21 Oct 1899) married Gerhard Henry Becker aka Baker of Hazleton. I don't know where she is buried.
Elizabeth had three children by her first marriage to Mr. Schwartz.
To recap - if you have any info on the following that would be great!
William (Wilhelm) Kohrock Abt 1826-1891
Elizabeth Schmid Schwartz Kohrock( Abt 1818-1906)
Eva Dorothea Kohrock Becker/Baker (1861-1899)
and for your records - children of Elizabeth Schmid by her first marriage:
John Schwartz 1844 –
Elizabeth Schwartz 1845 –
Werner Johann Schwartz 1850 –
Elizabeth likely did not marry.
Werner m. Cath Elise Gliem may have been living in 1906
John m. Anna Fastnacht. No info after 1870
Thanks so much,

I have never been able to find the grave of the wife of John William Parkinson (1835-1894) Mary Bunton Parkinson (1838-1896) who died in Beaver Meadows. I would have thought she was buried with her husband at Vine St.
Thanks for the transfer. He was my ggf's brother. (J.T. Tobias Smink). We also corresponded and you were a tremendous help on my paternal side of the family (Parkinson) at Vine St. cemetery as well as several other Hazleton folks.
|Mary Sweeney||RE: John M Wagner - Vine Street Cemetery|
Wow. Thanks for all your sleuthing.
I believe it is John M. Wagner. And I agree that Hannah Wagner d. 1927 Philadelphia is Johanna Schmink (Smink) Wagner. In some of the censuses she was called "Hannah. John's Philadelphia death certificate indicates he was buried in Hazleton and I also ran across his death record in the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church books. I believe John Martin was also known as "Johann Martin" Wagner. I have tentatively identified him in the 1860 census for Hazleton, with parents Frederick and Anna - and found an 1853 ships record that has a family with three persons fitting the same description coming from Nentershausen with a destination of Tamaqua. An unusual find that the ship manifest has the specific places listed!
Johanna Schmink appears in the 1870 census with her parents "Henry" and "Catherine" in Hazleton. So, the death certificate with Henry and Anna is close enough, given the permutation of names, as was the custom.
The couple did have a daughter named Cora b 23 Oct 1889 in Hazleton, died 19 Feb 1907.
They also had a son, Henry (baptized Heinrich Johann. born 30 Jul 1887 in Hazleton. So it would seem that Johanna lived with her son? and at least he was the informant on the certificate.
Thanks so much for your help.
(all this data is according to that belonging to my tree on Ancestry. )

Can you tell me if there is a burial next to JM Wagner? I presume since his grave stone is inscribed with "Father", that there is a "Mother", his wife next to him. I am hoping this is John Martin Wagner of Hazleton, who married Johanna - and I can't' seem to trace her after 1910, even among PA Death Certs.
