Bio and Links
Bio Photo I must confess that I am a Genealogy addict for which there is no cure. Much to husband's dismay!

Recently my family and I purchased a home in Quarryville, which is in southern Lancaster County. In past months I have not had the time for Find A Grave but I hope to get back in to it on a regular basis. With our new home and my crazy work schedule there never seems to be enough hours in my day, but I will try to respond to emails and edits as quickly as I can.

Although I have lived in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for almost 40 years my family history runs through many states. Primarily PA, MT, WA, KY, MI, MO, ID, TN, OH, NC, CT AND NY..I seem to be finding "lost" relatives in new states all of the time.

It is not my intention to amass large numbers of memorials. My desire is to create accurate, lasting tributes and to be able to aid family members and loved ones now and in years to come who may be doing genealogical research.

I am not a 'stickler' for the guidelines as they are only guidelines. I do not "own" the memorials that I create, unless I am directly related to them. If someone was near and dear to you and you would like the memorial, please ask.

If you see any mistakes in my postings, please let me know and I'll be sure to make the appropriate corrections.

RE: Emma "Lettie" Nolt Weaver
Hi Carolyn,

Do you have a copy of the "Genealogical Record of Rev. Hans Herr and His Lineal Descendants?" I bought a copy when I visited the Hans Herr House Museum in Willow Street, but it is also available online for free through Cornell University, if you do a Google search on Hans Herr descendants.

It lists Reuben S. Nolt and Lavenia Herr's daughters as:

Emma F., born Oct 11, 1878
Letitia, born Dec. 22, 1880

I don't know how to access Pennsylvania Death Certificates. Perhaps the death certificate for Emma F. Nolt Kendig (Oct. 11, 1878 - Apr. 25, 1966) might shed some more light on this. It doesn't seem to make sense that parents would give their daughters the same first name, but stranger things have happened. Perhaps one of the girls was adopted?

In reference to Ament family
I saw where your name was listed in maintaining the findagrave sites for family members of Aments in Mellinger Mennonite Cem in Lancaster PA. ~ I have recently ran across someone that has a Marriage Certif. of Annie Clements and Martin L. Ament. Are you in the family by chance? I'm encouraging them to see if they can locate the family in case someone in the family that is still living might want the Marriage Certi. It's very nice.

RE: Beth El Cemetery
I'm confused now. I was sure I set that cemetery up, but apparently I didn't because I saw no place I could change any thing about the cemetery. Thinking about it, I think that you probably did set it up and when that goofy woman had Find A Grave change the name, I let you knoe about it and I set up the other cemetery so we'd have one till the mess with Find A Grave changing the name was straightned out. Anyway it straightened out and if I det up the other one, I'll see if I can delete it. Donna

RE: Beth El Cemetery
No, I didn't. Don't you remember there were two and there was a big mixup about the names? You said you were going to move that person . I thought you did. I set the original Beth El up but some woman had Find A Grave change it to some other name. In the mean time you set yours up, but you were supposed to move it ehen the name was changed back to Beth El. Donna

Clare Moss Hambleton, you have the memorial that you created in the Chestnut Level Presbyterian Cemetery OLD, she would have to be buried in the NEW cemetery. Burials stopped in the old one about 1860. Hope that you had a great Christmas.

Thanks,
Tom

When adding married names to memorials, please only add the surname that the woman was last known by, the name on the stone, in the "last" name field. The other married names should be added to the biography. Thanks very much.
