I am a former Marine and a Vietnam Veteran. I spent approximately 18 months in Nam.
I can only speak for myself and the photos that I have taken. I am giving my express permission for you to use my photos in any way you see fit in your family research.
❤I will try to never forget that am a volunteer out here, doing work for you, the absent family member.❤
I do not selfishly hoard my pictures under the pretense of a 'copyright'. WHO in their right mind selfishly refuses to share OPENLY the photo of another family's grave stone?
I DO NOT PLAY F.A.G.'s numbers game that so many of us despise! I do NOT hoard memorials. I openly welcome and gladly transfer MY memorials upon request.
VERY VERY FEW of these memorials are my family. SO if they are in yours do not be afraid to ask for a transfer.
I do not hold tightly to strict family guidelines. I prefer that you are family of some sort BECAUSE ♥I believe no one takes better care of family then family.♥ But I also believe there may be other valid reasons for wanting a transfer.
Also a bit out of the box..... if it was a close family friend, and old boy friend or someone that played an important part in your life that you wish to pay respect to and manage the memorial instead of a total stranger, please explain that to me and I'll more then likely still transfer to you.
The four generation rule....MY THOUGHTS ONLY.....Since when does a family tree or your ancestors start or stop at four generations??? If you are doing your family tree it is impossible to to continue on or finish if you stop at 4 generations only! How incomplete would that be!?
If you are a volunteer on the Findagrave website and decide for any reason that you no longer can or wish to maintain your memorials, please transfer your memorials to someone who has an active account and is willing to take over management of your memorials.
If you do not know someone personally, PLEASE email Findagrave and explain your situation. They will take over management of your memorials and continue to maintain them for edits and family transfers.
Right now, while you are still active/alive, you can email "email@example.com" if you have someone (usually a family member) who has accepted to take over stewardship of your memorials. Please send FaG their name and member number. FaG will add a note to your member page stating the identity of who you are making your steward. You can have your elected steward email FaG after your 'passing' or you going 'inactive' and they will make sure that your person can manage, edit and update all of your memorials when necessary.

A place where you search for ancestors, but you may dig up new friends!
Where you can confuse the dead and irritate the living.

First of all let me say, on this Veteran's Day: Thank you for your service. I had my Vietnam Wall shirt on today and the two bracelets I have for soldiers who didn't come home.
I am getting ready to add Elizabeth and George Dearlove to the Find A Grave database. would you like to maintain them? I see you had a Dearlove transferred to you, that's why I ask.

Oh darn Larry, I really wanted to send myself a public message.
You've got a sharp eye. I probably wouldn't EVER see it.
That's so funny.
|Joan Pacitti||Your suggestion about Profile|
Hi Larry: I am glad that you gave me that information. I wouldn't have known that.
|Joan Pacitti||Your suggestions|
I like your suggestions on your bio. page. I particularly like the suggestion that if one know longer can maintain findagrave memorials, perhaps they can be transferred to a friend.
I don't contribute much any more, but if I decide not to contribute completely, I'll contact one of several people to see if they're interested.
The same will apply upon my death. I'll contact the same person(of course that will have to be before I die).
I am like you. I have no problem with transferring memorials.
Your the best! Thank you!
