Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been into family history since 1973. I transcribed all cemeteries in town Schleswig, Manitowoc County, WI in 1974.
I am currently working on Calumet County, trying to get all cemeteries transcribed.
If you have corrections or additions to anything I have on please let me know.

Thanks to anyone adding people pictures. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone had a picture.

It is nice to have photos of the cemetery stones, but please don't put in any more than two. I come along with people pictures and can not put them in because the limit has been reached.

I do not take credit for many of the pictures I post here, they are given to me by fellow researchers who want them shared with family members.
If I have any pictures of your family members, you are welcome to use them.
Hint: click on the picture you want, and that will bring up a larger file, and then save it.

I've added a new virtual cemetery -- Cemetery X. In my research I am finding obits for people who have some connections in Calumet County, but I don't know where they are buried.

If you have cemetery stones that need cleaning or repair work on old cemetery stones, Shane Peik, has a Chilton, Wisconsin based service.

Hi Rose,
Thanks so much for the obituary of George Foertsch. It's added some info I didn't have.

Lydia Grimm Spranger
Hi there.
I am a great grand niece of Lydia. My great grandmother was the Anna Grimm Smith listed as a sister in the obituary. I submitted an edit to change her birth year to 1883. I thought you might like some evidence. Her Wisconsin birth record as Lidia Grimm is on FamilySearch and Ancestry as November 18, 1883. Her birth year on the 1920 census is given as 1884. With a late year birthday, you probably know, they round up. Her 1930 and 1940 census shows 1853. Her Minnesota death record says 1882, but my great grandmother might not have been clear on her birth year. Lydia was given to a foster family when her father died (or possibly he went back to Germany according to family lore). Anyway, I am more convinced that it is 1883. I'm not sure where the July 1882 date that is in the obituary came from. It looks like it is a typo.
Thanks!

Henry and Mary Rickaby
Hi Rose - Have linked Henry and Mary as spouses and then linked them to their parents. Added the info you sent but took out the redundant information that the linking provides. Are they relatives of yours that you would like more information on them for your records such as their obits and info from the death certificates. Since I'm here in Merrill, I'm more than happy to lend a hand with research if you'd like (no fee, I'm not a pro). Just let me know and send me your email address so I can send you a copy of their obits if they have one. Sheryl

Roland Habermann Picture
Hi Rose, I've loved looking through so much family history. This picture for Roland and Verna, however, is not them. This is Roland's brother, William, and his wife Dorothy. I do have a picture of Roland and Verna I could contribute. I'm their granddaughter.

Re: Henry Sultze family graves
Hi Rose! My G-G Grandfather Henry ( Heinrich) Sultze is buried in the Greenbush Cemetery in Greenbush, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. His wife was Friderike ( Heuer) Sultze, b.22Marz1810, d. 12 Apr1880, buried next to him. Children: Fredericke 1835-1910, Henriette (Schmidt)1832-, Herman Sultze 1837-1927 m. Tybertha M ( Miller) Sultze 1848-1922, , Louis 1844( Saxony, Prussia) -1925, Heinrich (Henry) 1848-? m. Eta Griesbach, and Anna ( m. Henry Wagner) b. 1848-1918 buried at Greenbush Cemetery. Also, Louis' first wife Cathrine ( Weimer) is buried at the same place 1849-1877. I also have photos of the graves but could not get them into this message. Frederike ( my G-G not her daughter Fredericke) and Cathrine are misspelled on the Sultze surname list.

Thank you, Barbara Tabaka (Sultze was my Mother's surname) Tetzlaff
