I will do as much as possible to help anyone with a request on Find A Grave. I will also help with genealogy research in Poweshiek County if you request it.|

Maybe it would be a good idea to notify Find A Grave abt the Bethel Cem that isn't in Poweshiek Co - then they might take it of the list of cem to chose from.
|Cindy||RE: Wheeler Genealogy|
Our common ancestor is T G Wheeler(1832-1917). I've had many a conversation with you in the past.
I changed my bio to add the correct information about Abe Lincoln. My other connection is on the Hank's family tree.My mother's mother's side.
It's a small world, who knows the Wheeler's & the Hank's most likely knew each other.
I recently found Susan Kelly great great granddaughter of T G Wheeler. So I will get additional information from Susan. New photo's also.

Thanks for the information. That is a handy way of doing things.
Now how do I convince people there is a cable running threw some white posts that separates the Masonic from the Jackson Township cemeteries in Montezuma? I have found several that are in the wrong cemetery and it doesn't do me any good to say anything.
Thanks for your help

|David Richardson||James C. Johnston|
You asked about my connection to James C. Johnston. His mother, Olivia, was a sister to my great-great- grandmother, Eliza Jane Johnston Johnston. His wife, Mary, was a sister to my grandmother, Eliza Jane Johnston Johnston.
|Lynn Schneider||RE: Reinbeck Cemetery|
Hi. Yes, that's my brother. He had an account with Find A Grave but was locked out for some reason and they won't respond to get his account opened up. Those memorials are locked up now and there are several of our relation we can't access, along with all the others. We walked the entire cemetery and listed everything, and he keeps his list up to date with new additions.

Thank you very much for the Obit for Thomas, and the links. I haven't found the connection yet but believe they were related to my Johnson or Swangel/Swangle line at some point. A brother of my great-grandmother had the middle name of Farmer.
|Kathy Salazar||Jennie Wilcox photo request|
I did not see Orla Wilcox near Jennie nor is he listed on the Forest Lawn burial locator.

You wrote: Sorry, I did not mean to step on your toes. I am updating the Poweshiek County, Iowa cemeteries by adding obits and linking families together. If I ask for transfers for the memorials that you have made in Poweshiek county would you transfer them to me? I see that you have quite a few and if it is too much of a bother that is fine.......
Reply: My wife and I agree to transfer any memorial that is not part of our family tree to another person who is part of the memorial person's family. It is not a bother. We feel the transferred person is better off with family.
I did not mean to sound so harsh, but some people are very impatient with my slow progress sometimes. It is just that Findagrave can eat up a lot of time if one allows it to. I try my best to accommodate all requests when possible.
|Kit and Morgan Benson||RE: Corrections|
You said: I have sent you several corrections for memorials by using the edit tab and the info was not added. Is this not the same as sending an email?
Response: It may come as a surprise to you, but I am only a volunteer contributor with a paying job that keeps me quite busy during real work other than Findagrave. My supervisor frowns on my working on Findagrave during my work hours, especially using their computers. To answer your question: Yes, sending corrections via the "edit" tab is an acceptible means to notify me. But I do not spend my entire spare hours of life on Findagrave, and often the requests are delayed before I get to them. Your understanding of this would be appreciated.

Me, too. If people wouldn't be so possessive and just share, we'd all find lots more relatives. You really seem to have the info on the Clouse family - seemed fitting you be able to maintain as the family would be deserving of. I just got a download of a little over 8000 records to enter on the site from my local city cemetery. Hopefully, this project will be great for those seeking relatives in the McLeod county area; it the largest cemetery in the county. It's something I've wanted to do for a few years but I really feel findagrave is much more accessible than anything the local historical society could maintain. If I can help out with any more pics in the area (Meeker, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Brown, Sibley, McLeod, Wright, or Carver, please add a request for the pic - I'm trying to just keep circling my own and the counties around me since there aren't any active findagrave folks in the area. Much luck and thanks for making the requests!
