Bio and Links
Bio Photo Since joining the volunteers of FINDAGRAVE.COM years ago, I've tried to share collected information from visiting various cemeteries in IL, WIS, CA and roads along the ways.

My Sister, Susan nee Seidelman Feltes has joined me in my excursions to photograph stones in various cemeteries. We also make photo books for the local public library in Osseo, Wisconsin. So far we've donated over 30 books.

If you're related to any of my listings, request transfer...Glad to share links with family members and glad someone found family members.

This is a wonderful site and glad to be part of it and hopefully you'll become a member and share information with others.

When a loved one dies ... they don't die if someone takes the time to share the information with the world, and has become a world-wide web site.

If you are interested in the SEIDELMANN/SEIDELMAN family I have published a 181 page, Hardbound, fully indexed book 2003. Contact me if you would like further information.

PS...even if someone I've listed is a link in your family -- and not a direct link of mine, I'm more than happy to put my memorials in the management of a family member or friend who can add more information to the memorial.

I also do photo restores and composites for FREE for FINDAGRAVE.COM members.

Note: I've transfered about 11,201 memorials as of this date. If I'm not related, I'd rather transfer to someone doing research or adding information. I feel this website is for sharing and caring...not hording and holding...enjoy!

Thank you James for transferring. I really appreciate. I have been entering info on on my husband's family for about 6 months and has been a fantastic resource. If ever I finish entering all of my information I plan on checking out cemeteries. I find it fascinating and love imagining the lives of these wonderful souls.Take care!

James F. Powers
Hi, Can I please copy the picture you have of him to put in my tree. His Memorial is #83585027.

As of Feb 11, 2016 there are two memorials for James F. Powers. Memorial #115895725. Has his resting place at Flambeau Cemetery, Island Lake, Rusk County, Wisconsin, USA. He is resting next to his older brother Edward.

James your Memorial is #83585027 it reads St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery, Holcombe Wis. is his resting place. I don't think this is correct. I know your memorial is older. Can you please contact the other person and have the two merge into one for me. Do I can print a copy for my tree. Thank you,

An example, I aspire to be like...
You set such an awesome example of a Find a Grave contributor who is truly interested & focused more on people, NOT just numbers! Each person we add to the site has a story to tell, and it is our privilege, as well as our responsibility, to make every effort to tell their life story. It's not just entering their dates of birth & death. It's not about controlling a memorial & refusing to transfer, because someone deems a relationship isn't close enough. It's about adding any information that honors & adds to the memory of each deceased soul we memorialize. THANK-YOU for being the kind of genealogist that believes, each soul has a story & actively pursues that goal. Thank-you, for the Memorials you have entrusted to my care. Bless you & your generous caring spirit! Lynn🌺 Parkhurst-Gillies #48687893

Transfer and thanks
James, thanks for transferring Diane’s listing, not sure I will of any help to anyone. But thought I would give you a “heads up” about where I live. One woman has recorded all the cemeteries in Iron County, MI (in the UP) and has information on many of the listings. Like you, if she sees an interesting cemetery, she’ll stop and check it out. They can be in remote areas up here. There’s one in Marble, CO that fascinates me, it is overgrown and neglected, and I wrote to the local historical society and asked if they have any information on the individuals in there, no reply. I put a photo on the site, but could learn no more. It’s up in the mountains near Aspen and Carbondale. Beautiful area.

Again my thanks. Some folks probably thinks you’re crazy getting excited about seeing a cemetery, but another genealogist understands!

Diane Vinehout's entry
James, thank you for putting the information for Diane Vinehout into the Findagrave site. Diane and I corresponded for years as I had ancesters that attended Sacred Heart church. She was kind enough to photograph the stained glass windows that were destroyed in the fire that destroyed the church. I learned of her passing months after the fact, and obtained a copy of her obituary and was glad that someone else had included it on this site. For all of you folks that volunteer to help others, a big thank you. Diane was a big help to me and I in turn tried to help her with the French Canadian connections. JHM
