If you write PLEASE indentify yourself with findagrave. We usually DELETE anything from people that we don't know.
We will gladly add or delete anything that you desire. Our memorials are meant to HONOR the person who passed away, and to leave a record of that person's life, so that those who follow can access the information.
We encourage you to use the "virtual cemetery". You do not need to OWN a memorial to use it.
We transfer according to the findagrave guidelines, but please ask. There are exceptions.
THANK YOU to all the good people who work so hard to make this an exciting and usable site.

Lydia Wideman-Dettweiler's mother, Barbara Erb Eby 1828-1918, wife of Henry Lichty Wideman, is my 1st cousin 5x's removed. Her father Peter Wenger Eby is my 4th great grand uncle. Peter's father, George Sensenig Eby is my 5th great grandfather.
Susanna Dettweiler-Smith and Lovina Dettweiler-Vader, are my 3rd cousin's 3x's removed. As of now until I get more info entered.
I did a quick enter to get to your husband. I would be his 5th cousin 1x's removed :)
Theron's 2nd great grandmother, Matilda Snyder more than likely is closely related to me on the Snyder/Schneider side but am having a hard time finding her father. Her mother, Esther Zimmerman Wenger-Snyder is my 4th great grand aunt. Esther's father, Joseph Sherk Wenger 1769-1825, is my 5th great grandfather :)
I will see if I can get some info from my cousin who is a genealogist and has wrote some books on our Mennonite family. Will let you know if I find anything on Matilda's father :)

Hello again :)
I went back thru your Dettweiler side. On my tree on Ancestry, I have the family back as far as Melchior b. 2 Apr 1699 in Wittwyl, Canton Aargau, Switzerland. Melchior is buried in the Northkill Amish Burial Grounds, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
Follow the Dettweilers back as you will see Melchior has a memorial #50672659 along with a long bio that's quite interesting. Here is my line:
Melchior 1699-1773: 7th great grandfather
Rudolph I 1733-1797: 6th great grandfather
Rudolph II 1771-1837: 5th great grandfather
Rudolph III 1807-1889: 4th great grand uncle
Rudolph III's brother John Wanner Dettweiler 1802-1858 is my 4th great grandfather.
Rudolph III's wife Susannah Bingeman's sister Hannah married my 2nd cousin Rev Elias Snider (Schneider).
Your husbands 2nd great grandfather, Henry Dettweiler, is my 1st cousin 5x's removed.
Of course I don't have all the family listed yet so it may be even closer related seeing how everyone on each side is pretty much related. I will stop there or I will go on and on :)
Will have to add in the others and find out how your husband and I are related.
Thank you again for the pics.
Keep in touch,

Thank you so much :) By chance do you have others? Could you transfer them to me? I'd appreciate, if you don't mind.
I see you have Dettweilers, Fuch's, Wideman etc in your family tree. Me too :)
My mother's family immigrated from Switz, some settled in PA then went on to Waterloo, and Alberta area where my grandfather was born.

Doesn't really surprise me. When my Dad was in Hospice I took pictures to have him identify. His memory started to fail. He told me it was Lydia Eifert not Lydia Eifert Wrook.

Hello, I am updating a family history, Berkebile Families in America, 6th edition, of which the Schenkel's are members. Could I have your permission to use your photo in the new book? You would of course be given credit for the photo.

Hello Theron and Helen
I noticed that you had added a memorial for Konrade Kasparschuster in 2011. This is just to inform you that I have just added a memorial for Johann Kasparschuster who was killed in 1918. Both were from Tyrlbrunn, Bavaria, Germany and judging by the photographs they appear to be related. You may already have this information and the memorial card but I hope that this is of some help. The official casualty lists also mention a Simon Kasparschuster also from Tyrlbrunn who was reported to have been taken prisoner.
