RE: Herbert Smith
I also sent the message to the manager/ contributor of the other memorial so you can work together to resolve.

Once you agree about the actual burial place, contact to request that the duplicate be merged into the burial memorial. As managers of the memorials, you must do it. Find A Grave won't work with anyone except the managers.

If one of the duplicate memorials is a cenotaph, then the cenotaph memorial needs to be marked by Find A Grave as cenotaph. This must be done by sending a request to Find A Grave to mark the memorial where not buried as a cenotaph. [see Find A Grave policy] It is also recommended for each memorial to put an active link in the bio to the other memorial.

Let Find A Grave know that the other manager/ contributor did not cooperate if that turns out to be the case.

Once you and the other manager determine what needs to be done, I'm interested [but only if you have the time to get back to me]. You do not need to get back to me.

I find duplicates all the time. I try to take the time to let the managers of both memorials know so they can work together to resolve. Beside people not thoroughly checking if a memorial exists, I wonder if some duplicates aren't created with mass spreadsheet loadings.

Best to you and thank you for all your work on Find A Grave for current & future generations

Thank-you for all of your work and dedication. Over the past several years I have been able to connect a great number of family members and friends because of your work in the field. I'm sure that many others have benefitted as well.
Thanks again!

DeWitt conflicts
I notice you declined several suggestions for connections between the DeWitt family. Could you explain what the errors were? Can you add the appropriate corrections to the memorials so that others may see what you know? Thanks for all that you do for Find A Grave.

Alice has another Find A Grave page in TN,140308512. Both Find A Grave pages are listed on spouse's site, William Kishpaugh. It would seem she was buried in TN. Thanks, Val
