How should I enter all married names for a woman's memorial when she was married more than once?|
The 'last name' should be the name that is on the headstone. Other married names should be included as part of the biography section. The 'maiden name' should only be her maiden name. Unless the maiden name is hyphenated, no part of the name should contain any punctuation. [Top]

My friend here on Find A Grave recently lost the love of her life, please leave a message for a fellow graver Francis "Frank" Govers He is the husband of Ann Harmon Govers. (#47390317)
Please take a minute to leave a floral for my brother and my parents
"I have always allowed anyone to use my tombstone pictures, if you can find a way to give credit that would be appreciated. But please ask in advance for photos I have added of my family members."
"The goal at Find A Grave should not be to manage all of your family members. If you have information to add, you should suggest it to the current manager and they should make the changes."
~Jim Tipton, creator of Find A Grave.
I manage over 60,000 memorials, if you want an update to the memorial you should enter your name and ID # at the end of the update or you won't get credit. I do not notify anyone when an update has been done. It is your responsibility to check back to verify.
For those of you who are new to FindAGrave: the ability to make hyperlink family connections was not possible until about March 2010. Also the format keeps changing here so sometimes names don't display quite the way the contributor originally intended. :) You will find many that are not connected and maiden names not appearing where they should. This is not malicious, it's simply format changes we volunteers have no control over and no way of knowing it happened. I'll be happy to correct accordingly. Please use the EDIT tab and click the suggestion option on the memorial for any request.
One of my goals is to honor veterans of all wars. I would suggest that if you have a loved one who was in World War II that he/she should be recognized at the official website for same. Please honor them here: World War II Memorial
