I WILL NOT LINK TO BURIAL UNKNOWN. Burial unknown get removed if someone adds the name to a cemetery. The one in the right cemetery first stays.

The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal is to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.

FIND A GRAVE'S FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT MISSION IS TO LOCATE THE BURIAL THEN RECORD.

WE SHOULD NOT RECORD ALL THE OTHER STUFF THEN HOPE OTHERS LOCATE THE BURIAL LOCATION.

Some add 1000's from obituary's, put cremated not knowing if they will be put in a cemetery. Then some one puts the time into finding the grave, take a photo then adding to a cemetery. The one who was lazy then wants credit and ask the other one to delete after the move theirs.

Please only add photos of the person or stone to memorials I added. All others I will send in to be removed. I DO NOT think they belong on find a grave. Add them to Ancestry or other family tree site. Find a grave will remove if asked.

A lot of information has been given by others. So please give me a source for what you think is wrong. Some take information from Ancestry.com and a lot of wrong information has been poster there.

When I started walking cemeteries 6 years ago, it was to help others find the BURIAL LOCATION of family. Now I feel Find a grave has turned into one more family tree site.

Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.

You can add your family to a Virtual Cemetery.

I follow Find a graves guidelines for transfers.

Transfers will be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Please do not just say "my grandparent" I would like to known how they are family.
