1. Edits and other changes.
I am usually delighted to process your edits or suggested corrections. However I will neither do your data entry nor edit your spelling and punctuation. If information can be entered in specific fields, you will need to do that through the new edit system and I will accept or decline it. Other suggested changes such as biographies or requests for transfers will be honored via the "Suggest any other correction or addition" which sends me an Email with a link to the page and to you. I might fact check your information through resources available to me.
2. Transfers
I will transfer any memorial I have created on request except those for
a. my own ancestors or in my virtual cemeteries.
b. Nor will I transfer to anyone who is listed as "Anonymous" and has a blank profile. It is difficult to trust someone who is so concealed.
c. Nor will I transfer to the terminally rude unless you document the four generation proximity of relationship required by the FAQ.
3. Photos
I give explicit permission to copy and use any photo I have taken and posted on Find a Grave for your own genealogical purposes. No need to ask.

I am a retired Episcopal priest who has done genealogical work for her own family since 1990. I used to serve as a Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness volunteer for Cottonwood County before that site closed. I'm still willing to do lookups. This is easy to do, as I live within a mile of the Courthouse and Historical Society. Or you can contact the Historical Society at They charge $10. per hour plus copying for research.

I am nearly done doing whole small cemeteries in Cottonwood County, Minnesota. The five of us working on that have finished all but the two city cemeteries. If I have been able to post a photo on the front page of a cemetery in CC you will find my status notes in the caption. [Feb 2013] Working on Mountain Lake from photos & register and Lakeview from a list. I am also working on comprehensive postings for columbaria in Minnesota Episcopal churches.

My daughter thought graving was a waste of time but I pointed out that it gets me out for a walk up and down "rows" in the cemetery. And a friend of hers pointed out that considering all the recent zombie movies it's good to remember this: It is far better to be looking for dead people than to have dead people looking for you! Enjoy!

West/Bailey Family at Lakeview
Thanks so much for all of your work and the edits for this family. I have been looking for Mathilda Kesler West for a long time- I am distantly connected to her a couple of ways and it is great to finally know what happened to her.
Have a great day,

RE: 75307472 Susie Drexler
Hi Marilla, If you didn't add the family relationship, I probably did. I can find no confirmation of this marriage on, but then the records for marriages do not go past 1958. When I photographed all the graves at St. John's I did it in order: Suzie Drexler and Frank Kaiser are buried next to each other....Suzie's stone states "wife of Frank Kaiser" I don't see how anyone could question the relationship. Hope this helps....let me know if I can be of further help. Steven

RE: Drexler edits
The problem I see is that, Susie # 75307472 is linked to her father in-law, Joseph # 75307474, as a husband. Jacob # 75307474, should be linked to his wife, Susanna (Mihal) Drexler memorial # 75307475.

Thank you!
Thank you for your photographs of the Barlow family memorials. My grandparents and great-grandparents are from Cottonwood county, and your work will let me visit the correct places when I visit.

Thanks again,
