RE: Samuel Arnet Shields (1877-1954) obituary
I haven't done as much work on the Green side as I have my own. The next is line (going up the tree) is

HORACE GREEN
BIRTH 7 AUG 1798 Rensselaerville, Albany, New York, USA
DEATH 20 JAN 1833 Springfield, Oakland, Michigan

It would have been interesting to find something that matched.

Nice chatting with you!

No, unfortunately I don't now where Mary's parents are buried.

Rodger,

I'm guessing you probably aren't related unless a cousin X times removed.

The Greens in that generation didn't start until 1855:
Alice Juliette (1855-1906)
Willard Perry (1856-1934) (My husband's gr-grandfather)
Horace E. (1859-1860)
Elmer B. (1862-1940)
Luther W. (1869-1887)

Their parents were Gerothman Green (1824-1901) and Maria Brokenshaw (1832-1902).

You're so welcome, Rodger. I like to include them when available as they can provide so much information when someone is trying to confirm that's the person from their family tree. And when their daughters get married, it helps provide their married name to trace their paths.

I was fortunate to marry into the Green family. :-) My husband's father is Donald Sanford Green (1922-2015). I have a virtual cemetery for the Greens if you'd like to check to see if there are any matches to your tree. There are also Sorensens (his mom's side) in there. The oldest great uncle, Glenn William Green (no F-A-G memorial) was born 5/8/1886 in Springfield, MI, and died 4/2/1961 in Los Angeles, CA. After that, the children were born in Manhattan, KS, and Shawnee, OK.

The Bio has the word "Death" but I think that the
"Birth" year is in question. If not I am sorry for having you research this further.

RE: Edward Ferdinand Kallgren (50591015)
Thank you. I'm following similar spellings as the spelling of his name might have changed once he came to the U.S. A man named Edward Kallgren lived with Andrew's son Nels Kullgren and his wife in Denver for a while.

Wow, very nice! Thank you so much for posting it, and the photo, which is wonderful. I'm tracing my Kullgren roots in Sweden on ancestry.com and am trying to figure out where my great-grandfather Andrew (Anders) Kullgren came from. All we have is his birth date (sometime in Aug 1851), nothing else. He emigrated and married in Colorado. Have you traced the Kallgren/Kullgren family back farther than Anton? My email address is gale_perez@yahoo.com.

In the meantime, could you please list his father in his bio. Thank you.

RE: Edward Ferdinand Kallgren (50591015)
Thank you, Rodger. If you have his mother's information I would appreciate it as I don't have the Swedish paid subscription. Or perhaps there is another way to find it.

RE: Edward Ferdinand Kallgren (50591015)
Can you please tell me what part of the information I submitted about Edward's parents isn't correct? The information comes from the Swedish archives.
