I served in the Army and Army Reserve for over 25 years with more than 15 years in the public affairs arena. |
My experience runs the gamut from working at the U.S. Army Field Station at Camp Humphreys, Korea to running the day-to-day operations of the Press Camp Headquarters at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
Various positions have included work as a newspaper editor, educational publications, community and media relations, as well as marketing.
For the past five years I have been dedicating time to findagrave.com primarily adding records for my extended family, friends and veterans' and local cemeteries.
Additionally, in late 2012 I completed my application and was accepted into the Daughters of 1812, my first lineage society.

The memorial numbered #88626030 appears to be a duplicate of the older memorial #87329098. Please move your photograph to the older memorial so we can delete the newer one. Thank you in advance.

You are very welcome. I bet she touched many young minds in the course of her career. She is buried next to her parents (Sherman & Hattie). It would be great to post a photograph of Emily. I did find photos of her family but none of her. You may enjoy the photos I did find: https://www.myheritage.com/FP/descendants.php?s=50009232&root=2000046
I'm trying to contact the owner of the images of her parents to get permission to post photos of her parents on Findagrave.

I enjoy reading old newspapers (Library of Congress website) and trying to match up the stories and articles to the memorials here on F-A-G. I have found the wedding announcement for Ralph Blackburn and Dorothy LeLoss in The Bridgeport Evening Farmer (Bridgeport CT) on 10/18/1916. It is a lovely announcement and gives quite a bit of information about the wedding and the wedding party.
I thought you might like to read it.

Thank you for the additional information on Ann Thuesen. It was a common practice to use the maiden name as a middle initial. I have deleted it.

May I use the photo of the plaque you contributed to the F.A.G Memorial for Pvt. Justin Longley, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.
