Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am interested in the family history of my family & my husband's family.(I am originally from Adams,MN & he is from Hayfield, MN) We now live in New Ulm. Some family names are Hemingway, Lee, Hagen, Peterson,Aarhus, Gordon, Huseby,Torgerson,Lewison, Anderson, Johnson, Share

I first became interested in family history when I took a women's study class entitled "Our Foremothers". One assignment was to do an oral history with an older relative. Hearing the stories that my mom, my grandma & my husband's grandma had to share was priceless. The past became alive and names & dates became real people. I think my quest is bringing these stories and people to the younger generations that we will not lose this connection...and that our foremothers and forefathers will not be forgotten.

RE: Glen Martyn
I just went back and looked at the cemetery records, and his DOD is listed as 12.3.1983, however I also saw that his date of burial is listed as 12.13.1985. So the 1983 could definitely be a typo in their records. If I come across anything else for him, I will let you know.

Grave Photo Urgency
My family has always been closely connected to the Thomas Jefferson family. It was one of my relatives that read Mr. Jefferson's will. Once I got out of the marines, I moved to Madison, Wi. I know I was drawn here for a reason. Through research, I discovered that Thomas Eston Hemings Jefferson, a child of Thomas Jefferson was buried in a local cemetary here. The grave was not being cared for and is in a vandalized condition. I know Thomas Jefferson helped my family out many times during his life. Therefore I believe it is a responsibility of mine to help restore this cracked tombstone. It has been bitter cold here with much snow on the ground. However as soon as it warms up I will start taking pictures for your request in this area.
P.S. check out my home page to learn more about this great family. Please send me and email if you need pictures right away of you deceased love ones, at thesingingmarine@hotmail.com. or call me at 6084213282. I will upload photos in order of urgency, so please text or email me today.

You are welcome for the links. Etta was my grandfather's cousin. Her mother was my great grandfather's sister. Are you related to her also?

RE: Angel & Amanda Zerke
I do not know what the girls died from. Daughter-in-law was only 9 when she Amanda died. I do not have any pictures of them because the pictures on the obits came out pitch black. If they were a lot better I would send them. Sorry I could not help you with it.

RE: Amanda & Angel Zerke
Thank you for changing that. My daughter-in-law and Amanda were best friends in school and that is why we were looking at it.
Thank You
