I have been interested in cemeteries for about 30 years mostley in the western side of Walker Co., AL and the ajoining counties. My dierct families are Guthrie/Guttery, Jackson, Pike, Swindle, Stacks, Thomas, Myers, Rutledge, Davis
Gertrude Guthrie family My name is Sandi Kelly and I am doing some research for a family that I am not truly familiar with but noticed that you have a Gertrude Gutherie in your memorials that you manage. She was married to Romie Leon Guthrie. they were Walker County people. Gertrude also married a Wade D. Sniddy, and she is shown with children Nell JoAnn Sniddy, and a Mary and an Elizabeth Sniddy Neeley on some records. I am at a standstill on these children and wondered if you might could enlighten me as to who or where they are buried. Joann Sniddy married several times , I know. I am not sure of the order. She married a Rutledge, and had a son named Donn Rutledge. She also married a Frank Walters and had one son, perhaps that she gav up for adoption. Her sister's obituary shows Joann as a Speigel.
Elizabeth married a Neeley and her obituary is the only connection that I have to these girls: Mary married a Jerry Lankford. I can't find graves for any of them except Elizabeth.

Minnie Coates Moore in McDade Cemetery Thank you for taking the time to post this information on Find A Grave. There is one error, I believe, in memorial #47148149. I am quite certain that Minnie is the daughter of Grorge W and Martha McDade Coates, both buried in McDade Cemetery. She is the sister of John Coates who married Edna Day. This is easily verified from the 1910 & 1920 censuses and is apparent from her birth date. She is older than John.
