TRANSFERS Note: I'm getting many requests for transfer. Send your requests with relationship and your ID by INDIVIDUAL memorial. I don't have the time to try to figure out who your family is in order to transfer them.

I began my interest in genealogy at about age 12 when I found interesting writings about previous generations of the family and I made copies for myself and kept them in a safe place because I thought it was fascinating. I still have those notes at age 75. I grew up in Wichita and San Antonio. Graduated high school in San Antonio.

I'm a US Army Spec 5 Vietnam veteran ('68-'69) married for 53 years with 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

I enjoy documenting graves so that others can find their kin easily and accurately. I'm grateful to those kind souls who have helped me in my research and am happy to return the favor. For every memorial I enter onto this site, that's another memorial that has a chance of getting into the right hands of family or friends.

Thanks to everyone who has sent encouraging and positive thoughts! I don't always have time to answer everyone back, but please know you too are appreciated.

Duplicates: It is never my intention to create a duplicate on purpose. If you come across a duplicate I have made, please use the SAC and let me know. Nicely, please. I'll be happy to remove it. Please don't create a duplicate of my memorials; I would rather you just ask for a transfer instead of creating a duplicate. I promise I won't grill you or make you prove your relationship to the deceased!

And for those that don't seem to get what a dupe is: If I enter a memorial on March 1st for Colby Smith and then someone else enters another memorial for the same Colby Smith on March 15th, the one entered on March 15th is the dupe, not mine.

A death certificate is NOT the proof of a person's age or birth date. It's very often a totally incorrect guess made by somebody when the individual dies.

Photos: Please feel free to use any cemetery or grave photos I have posted on Findagrave for your personal use, public or private BUT not on the Findagrave website. For any photos of people, please contact me first. Some of them I have obtained permission to use from other sources and will need to run it by them first.

****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)
