I have many pictures of NM cemeteries, as I have been collecting them for years - although they are not organized in any fashion. I find NM cemeteries most fascinating, because many are in remote areas and are all that remain of once thriving communities. I have lived in NM almost all my life, and currently reside in Las Vegas. I include my email in order to accommodate corrections and requests, so please feel free to make them.|

|Sheryl ||RE: Ida Burris|
You are certainly welcomed to add that to her memorial. I was just curious--she is not related to me. I was transcribing obits from some old papers and came across that.

I found the following obit for Ida Burris in a Leavenworth, Kansas newpaper:
"Died, at 11:00 on Thursday night, Feb. 13th, Ida, eldest daughter of B. L. and Maggie Burris, aged 9 years and four months. Funeral Saturday, the 15th, at the residence of Judge Latta, Cherokee and Broadway. (Leavenworth Bulletin, Feb. 14, 1868)"
Do you know if her body was removed to New Mexico at that time, or was she reinterred at a later date?

You have a picture of the headstone of Robert E. Mills in Sec J Row 3. He is the son of Sarah E. Mills who supposedly is buried in Sec. J, Row 3 also. do you have a picture of her headstone?
Thanks, John Kizer
|Bill Meyers||James G. Travis (1845 - 1887)|
Thank you for posting his memorial (Memorial# 34983180).
James was the son of William Beatty and Mary (nee Gahagan) Travis. He was born in Pennsylvania Aug. 2, 1845 based on the family Bible. A circa 1918 family genealogy said he died in a train accident.

As per our conversation at the Bank, would you please post the "tombstone" pictures for Helen
O'Brien [1919-2011] and Gloria Trivalos [1932-2010]. They are buried at the Presbyterian Church
Columbarian. They were taken on the same day that
you took pictures at the Episcopal Church.
