Bio and Links
Bio Photo Two decades ago my mother showed me a notebook she used when she was in high school to record some family history. I've been working on our genealogy ever since. Most of my research involves French Canadian and New England families, as well as my husband's Ohio German and Ukrainian roots.

I love the opportunity that Find A Grave offers for helping others find the missing pieces of their family "puzzles".

Please feel free to use any photo I have taken in on-line or personal family trees. It would be nice if you would credit me for the photo.

If a memorial I have added is a family member of yours, I am happy to transfer management. I will also usually transfer out of FAG guidelines if there is a good reason. I am happy to receive edits but please do not ask me to post obituaries unless you wrote them, hold the copyright, or have explicit permission from the writer. This is not only against Find A Grave policies, but is a violation of copyright law. Feel free to write a bio yourself paraphrasing the information, but I will remove references to living individuals in most cases for privacy reasons.

PLEASE - No drama.

Dear Sidney: Can you tell me if other Dresser family members are buried in Fairview Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM? Thank you for your help. Best regards, Natalie J. Woodall

RE: Seth Grosvenor 146166496
Thanks! I believe those old published transcriptions for the Hudson City Cemetery are from a long, long time ago, so I don't know how reliable they are. I found them on a Columbia County site, and there was a bit of a disclaimer as to their reliability.

FYI: Seth GROSVENOR's son Thomas Peabody GROSVENOR was born Dec 20, 1778 in Pomfret, Windham Co. CT and died April 24, 1817 in Waterloo, Howard Co. MD. His bio states he was buried in Hudson NY, so he is probably in that cemetery as well. I'm sure he had his father buried there to have him near, even though he died in Windsor MA, about 40 or 50 miles away. That's actually kind of nice.

Thomas was an attorney (went to Yale) and a three term U.S. Congressman from NY State (1813-1817 - NY 5th, then 6th districts). As an attorney he began his law practice in Hudson NY about 1803. There is a wikipedia page for him. So on a local scale a pretty important guy.

Paul and Ellen Farrell
Thanks (again!) for another set of great pictures.

Apparently when Paul died, they replaced the gravestone which only had Ellen on it with the current gravestone which has both of them.

Thank You! Kent

Samuel
Thanks for the links Sidney. I really don't need to manage the memorial if you don't mind making the links should I find more information, however I do appreciate your kind offer.

Thanks again,
Rita

Samuel McElmurray
Hi Sidney,
I sent and edit using the auto system, but wanted to tell you the name is spelled both ways McElmurry and with the A McElmurray. Samuel is the son of George and Cornelia even though the spelling is different. Cornelia is my great grandfather's neice, in case you might be wondering how I have the information.

Thanks,
Rita
