Thank you for stopping by my profile page on findagrave. When I first joined Find A Grave I used my "sceen name" MsMiserable as my user name but I recently changed it to my real name to make it easier to find me on here. |
I first started using findagrave to locate "famous" graves and quickly became more interested in the non famous side of findagrave. I love walking through cemeteries and photographing all the history they hold. After the passing of my beloved grandmother Dorothy Johler Cruser I decided to start adding all of my family, which lead to my love of genealogy. I believe everyone should know where they came from and findagrave is an excellent way of leaving a place for future generations to search. I also enjoy strolling through all the other memorials on here and reading everyone's stories. I always leave a token when I visit as a way of letting their loved ones know they were visited and thought of. I also lost a very dear friend on 1/10/11 Tiffany Michele Spangenburg.
I recently learned of another dear friend's passing, if you have the time please stop by and visit Lori Topa.
I live in Northeast PA and would be willing to try to help others with their ancestry, if anyone needs a photograph in this part of PA please just ask. If I have posted the memorial of a person that holds a special place in your heart, I will be happy to transfer it over to you. If you see a mistake or have more info on any of my posts I will be happy to update those aswell.
Thank You to those of you who leave tokens on the memorials of my loved ones.

Thanks Dorothy. I figured this wasn't the time of year to visit with the weather. Just wanted to find someone who would be close by and willing when the weather was right.

I noticed that you had posted a photo of Sandy Banks Cemetery in Greenfield Twp, Lackawanna County, PA 18407.
I was wondering if you live close enough to locate my great uncle's headstone, Howard O. Holford, who passed on 10-9-75. He was a veteran of WWI.
Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.

I was surprised to see that you left a flower on my gggrandmother's memorial. I wrote up her story today and when I scrolled down, there was your flower. What a nice thing to do. Thank you.
Dorothy, thank you sooo much for the quick response to the photo request that I put in for the Garvin's and a few others in that plot. That's sad that none of them have headstones. I was disappointed to find that out. I do appreciated your time in doing this for me and was surprised at the quick response time. Keep up the good work, it's greatly appreciated.

Yes, there were at least 2 Sarah Laytons. Sarah Ellen Layton was the unmarried sister of Maurice Layton (& the daughter of Gabriel & Belinda Hornbeek Steel Layton). Sarah S. Titman Layton was Maurice's wife.

Dorothy, thank you so much for the photos of these two Gavoille graves. They were relatives of mine. I appreciate it! Douglas
Thanks for finding and photographing Norman and Helen's graves. It's appreciated.
